EOW #77 PIRATE COVE 2 parts! 2 weeks!
EOW #77 Pirate Cove
DUE January 25 th
This is a 2 part challenge. Both parts must be completed for your piece to go to poll.
It will be two weeks long
The Pirate Cove.
Part one : the map
I want a map of a pirate cove . this is a natural landscape of some sort
Designated land and water
A legend or key
And a compass rose.
Optional elements, treasure, dragons embelishments ships
Define the era and style of your world with the graphical elements of the map.
Create an environment illustration showing some location on your map. This is where you get to set the mood that you have established with your map.
A corollation between the terrain on your map and your image
You can do these in either order. But the terrain features defined by the map. Must appear in the illustration.
NO description required, say what you need to say visually.
I am changing format for the polls, Oregano convinced me that his (and oblio’s) system of icon;s and final burning thread is not as difficult as I thought. So Here’s how it’s gonna be. Work on thyour pieces discuss, get crits in this thread. As the deadline approaches I will post a “Final Burning thread”, where you will post your finished image (or in this case images) as you can see this eliminates the need for marking your piece as final and for keeping all your WIPS in one post on the other hand I will also need you to make an icon of your piece no more than 150 pixels wide. Which you outside host and post with your final image…. Got it?
FOLLOW THE TOPIC.
POST YOUR FINAL IN THE FINAL BURNING THREAD.
SAVE YOUR FILES IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT. Chow##_Nickname
PLACE THE IMAGE IN A FRAME WITH YOUR NAME/TOPIC
example from CHOW
(you can add CA logo, etc).

Chaos, this sounds like it's going to rock. I've got some cool images floating around my head for this already and will jump on this if I can. Between CHOW and work, time might be a little tight, but I will see what i can do. Sketch most likely.

I've updated my image. I felt there wasn't enough there to show what I was thinking, so I expanded my canvas and went for it.
And my map...

I am so excited for this topic. I have a really cool idea, and I have every intention of this being my first entry. However, I have never worked with photoshop, so unfortunately what I see in my head is not what's going to come out in the image. Who cares though, I have to start sometime!
