Very close call for me this time around, between Anthis and Apocalypse Rex. In the end, though, I went with Rex, since I think it fir the concept better.

peg for me, such a beautiful image and on a glacier rather than sea. I am envious.

I voted for Apocalypse Rex. Was tough one. xgabo was a close close second.

Thanks for being lenient Fozz even though you didn't have to be. I'll try not to stray far next time.

I went with gatling just because it was so unusual and well done. Although technically I think glaciers are the slow moving sheets of ice on landmasses, and not the chunks in the water (icebergs), it still has the polar feel, plus magic, plus just some surrealist craziness. Sort of a high fantasy style with a Lovecraftian theme.

I am also quite fond of Cloister, Apocalypse Rex, and jfwalls to name only a few in what overall looks like a really strong round. I suspect the vote spread will be wide and the win will be a photo-finish.

Voted for Xgabo, rex as my close second.
jfwalls, I like you creature and rendering, but snow troll is not a very fresh idea.

I voted VegasMike because I liked how it could be mistaken for a glacier itself. The execution is great and the image is very dynamic and entertaining.

Loads of great creatures and a very entertaining round.

Voted Cloister for a sweet creature with alot of weight, great colours and killer muttonchops!

Thanks for letting me sneak through Foz, I'll be careful not to repeat my misstake the following rounds. Promise!

Thank you for the kinds words Apocalypse_Rex

voted for gatling, best concept. His creature looks/is magic, his creature is great for leyends and myths about the horrors that could be in the inexplored cold lands in the frontiers of the world O.o moreover, the illustration is beautiful.
jfwalls, Samolo and VegasMike of course, were my second options.

    sorry for my English >_<

Thanks Fozzybar, I'll try to use different approach for the next topic. I probably should've spend more time with the character and less with background. This is where I gave up on the creature: http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e_creature.jpg

As for the voting I'm still deciding between Apocalypse_Rex, bigmikey, xgabo, VegasMike, jfwalls, damn fine works. scorge - great concept, needs a little more texture and color.

I'm giving my vote to Apocalypse_Rex, though I also liked Thalion, Lander and XGABO.

Apocalypse_Rex- your illustration and design best fit the topic, in my opinoin and I love the menacing, almost mechanical look it has.

JFwalls gets my vote, great design and skill in rendering. This isn't already a creature? This could just be in the next magic expansion pack. Awesome work. Great entries all around. Vegas Mike #2 just because of JF. Onward an upward .
I must increase my rendering skill set , spend more time on my entry, this was thrown in just last night. Thanks.

I voted benu, for the great mythological mood. The creature is a simple design, but with a very strong character - that speaks directly to my spriritual core. (I'm not looking for new - I'm looking for true... and this one felt true to me )

apocalypse rex and thalion receives silver medals for nice and interesting images and moods, and michael jaecks also gets a silver, for stimulating creature design and mood.

I addes some final comments in the wip-thread...
