Security Self Promo Piece
Here's my first finished piece i'm uploading- Its a self promotion piece and part of a series with camera head people. This is "oil plus photoshop." While i've been coloring linework with photoshop for years, digital painting is a relatively new monster to me so i'd appreciate any comment on my technique. Thanks guys.

It'd be cool to see it in higher res.
Seems fine, although I feel that the perspective is abit off....but if you are interested in peoples opinion of how you "paint" in photoshop....then some details will be needed

I like it a lot, good work

The perspective is from a slightly fish-eyed photo -it looks funky to me too, and i probably should have compensated more. I'll try and get a higher res version up when i have a second. Thanks for the comments guys!

Hey that's really neat stuff you've got there! Funny how you just clip the leg off in the format. I like it when people does un-orthodox things like that sometimes. However, what is that red explosion thingy back there? I think it confuses up the image, and I certainly dont know why it's there. Good work.

Thanks! I thought the foot could create a sense of movement out of the frame, so it would look less static - it sort of looked like he was just standing in the street otherwise. heh.
The explosion is part of a larger story - this is a splash for a mini comic venture. I guess it is sort of random out of context... heh. Maybe i'll paint it out just to see.

Revisions, New Stuff
I decided to rework the format of this piece. It would be great if anyone had any opionions about the vertical format, which is pretty close to what i consider completion (Tho honestly i'm not really sure what "complete" means anymore.) . I've also included some of my more finished initial character concepts for a game i'm working on.

also, does anyone know how to attach the little thumbnail pic on the forum list? My post feels naked. i'm so bad at the internet sometimes. Thanks

"Use the attachment feature (the button that looks like a paperclip) to upload pics to your post. The first pic you attach will become the thumbnail next to your thread."
