nice i love the wave man such a cool concept and i love how the figure is just chilling there my only crit would be to plaay with the figures pose a little nothin to major just maybe have him lean back a little more or arch his lower back or even have him tilt his head back more just to help reinforce the sense of ...damn thats big

your minimalistic lines on some of those figures are a joy to see. when you nail it the first time, you have more time to work on values and that kind of crap.

    i'm liking the work here.

Some figurative work in different mediums, conte, pencil, pen and ink, colored pencil. All from life, except the porn, which should be obvious haha.

    JustinBeckett Thanks man I will!

Loathsome Thank you, pen is really nice to work in with figurative stuff

    lolbbq Thanks!

Ebag90 Thanks man, and you can totally do it, just keep working!

Here's stuff for my illustration class this quarter. I'm sure you all know this, but when your in art school really try to push yourself on your assignments and work towards to the goal that you've set for yourself, not the school. The assignment here was to illustrate in three images a three step process of a common household task. Seeing as how I'd love to get into concept art as a career, I asked if instead I could illustrate something like 'how to kill a giant' in three steps, based off of the story of david and goliath. Our teacher is pretty flexible and she was cool with it, so here's what I did. She also asked me to do an hour demo on digital painting next class, so I'm pretty stoked!

Strong work! I would continue to push harder with your fig studies. I see that you try to be very stylistic with your studies...but perhaps its better to hone your accuracy a bit further? When you accuracy in capturing the fig is flawless, the style will just make it that much better. =)

Your linework in your figure studies is ridiculously good, some of the best I've seen. Very, very impressive. Your skin tones in your latest image is absolutely brilliant as well, you have a very solid understanding of how to really make those skin tones pop.

Loving the david/goliat characters, especially the little boy. Only the giant's shoulder pads look a bit restraining, as if he's not gonna have any shoulder movement.
It's good to have some teachers interested in digital painting. I'm in a similar situation myself. I hope that, with little things like that, digital painters become more respected.
Also love the wide-crayon model studies. Do you do them in a loose way, or do you think carefully about every stroke you're gonna put?

    Good work! Keep at it!
