The last two paintings are really impressive.....I was amazed when I looked at the close up from the painting of the figure....wonderful how you captured the surface texture and all....keep up your great work!
Caro/Cyprinus, I didn't know you're here too! Awesomeness!
Gotta check out your sketchbook
Here's some new sketchbook pages (copies after old master drawings - I'm using "Anatomy Lessons from the Great Masters" by Robert Hale, awesome book!)
And a copy after a drawing by Mario Fortuny, a project from Angel Academy. It's not officially finished, but after so many weeks working on it, I can't stand to look at this damn thing anymore and declared it done. Whatever the teacher says, I won't continue with this.
(medium: charcoal on Umbria paper, roughly A3 size)
Soon there will be a historic soccer match (calcio storico) in Piazza Santa Croce in Florence, and I'm looking forward to it. Usually I'm not a sports fan but I've never seen anything like this before so I really want to attend! Basically it's a bunch of guys kicking around a ball and beating up each other in renaissance costumes. XD Will try to take photos!
edit: WTF imageshack...
