So you call my stuff awesome? Then what shall I call yours?.. phenomenal
Seriously, you have so beautiful colors that the subject of the pictures is only secondary. Although the lines aren't any less awesome
Just on the anatomy, there needs to be some work done. But ohterwise PHENOMENAL! I'm subscribing!

Autumnal Dream, thanks I was an exchange student in USA so the exhibitions are nothing of true importance. xD

lilnebo, thank you I appreciate that very much! Hmm, I dunno if I have any extra tips... you're doing so great already! But I'll check back and watch your progress!
I've been drawing/painting seriously since I'm 13 or so, so you're quite right and I've loved doing it even before that, all the time.

Kurjuus, thanks! *blushes* But... oh the anatomy of doom! Dx Must get life drawing class. xD

Today's worth of sketching on paper (after Bridgman and magazines)

Speedpainting (figure & pose referenced from sinned-angel-stock again), and I don't feel like finishing it right now. About 40 minutes.

Thanks for stopping by! Looking at your latest work, your anatomy still seems off on some of the subjects, especially the heads/faces. Your anatomy studies on pen/paper seem fine though. That what strikes me as strange, on the paintings you do without reference, it doesn't seem that you properly 'constructed' the underlying anatomy before you filled in the colors and started rendering. Trace out the outlines of the figures in your paintings to figure out the hickies - they still don't match up with the quality of your linework. As usual, I'm fond of your wonderful use of colors, but keep working on the other aspects of your art! Once you have a solid grasp of anatomy it can only get better.

Hey, you have the makings of a pro, mainly because you're determined. Nice collection of studies and you're photoshop stuff is really quite something, I agree with others about refining your anatomy etc, but visually to me you're doing all the right things. I want to see more =)

Nice work, you seem to have a soft touch with the airbrush in places, dont forget to hit up that contrast in areas too..

    Danyal, thank you much appreciated!

    Baka, you're welcome xD

RandAlThor, I'm no expert on balls xD you may be right ö__ö Thank you!

Today I started the day with some wannabe calligraphy because it's a) lots of fun, b) difficult and c) I still have so much Japanese paper around here that needs to be used up.

(that's the name of my favorite mangaka. the calligraphy is pretty much fail because the kanjis' proportions are a mess)

Drawn after an ukiyo-e painting, using a copic marker (brush nib).
I TOTALLY dig ukiyo-e, and I think it's even great for practicing because it forces you to exactly think about where you place what line and errors won't be forgiven, plus you need to maintain a flowy and elegant line quality. It's not as easy as it looks.

    And another boy:

Now i feel bad for not censoring my stuff...
Its great to look at your sketchbook, a real pleasure to see your studies and drawings. You draw and practice so much that you turned into an inspiration, looking at your stuff makes me want to draw.

And, while i prefer the ladies, its pretty nice to see someone drawing boys too. Its funny that most people, even ladies, end up always drawing tons of naked females and almost no males. Good to see someone doing something different.

So, keep it up. I love your work and your sketchbook, its a real pleasure to look at your stuff...
Hope to see more from you soon! Cheers!

    hi,

GREAT PROGRESS. maybe u don't reconize the new name. Sebastian_h = sebastianrenaissance from a while ago. however your'e realy muchbetter. and you were al ready. but maybe you want to look at my small schetchbook to comment? realy like your wor. just like the great painters. poussin. look at the dutch painters sometime too. johannes vermeer!! i would like to see how you will Interpretat that style that i think is kind like yours. still loving your work.

by the way... euhm... the "things" at your naked man paintigs are a bit... how do you say it without making a fool out of my self . well... they are a bit big. to big. i mean it looks more like porn. at most paintings, and deffenetly in the way they are posing, the naked man arent realy "exited". their faces are looking like they are thinking about something like their place in the universe but wen you look down you see that they are thinking about their favorit website. just saying. wow i feel like a moron. did nobody said this before.

    Sebastian
