I like your style, especially on paper (Hmn I'm not really good on the computer either but ah well, practice makes perfect)
One thing I noticed though is the disproportion in your character's hips, you should make them larger, especially womens
I feel as if I've really evolved since I joined conceptart. So thank you, conceptart.
Here are some sketch book pages, along with a few sin city-inspired comic book panels. One is of Marv, the other of some random guy with a gun.
We're doing this film noir thing for a school project, so I'm just getting my inspiration going.
"My Sketchbook. Check it out or die."
HA! i didnt check it out and im still alive, take that!
whait a minute...im here, looking at the sketchbook right now...DŽOH!
anyway =P nice update, i like the pencil stuff, keep drawing^^
thanks for dropping by at my SB, this new stuff really shows potential, the ninja guy is really sweet! though u gotta work more on faces, keep drawing and keep posting man, ur getting there.
Thanks for dropping by
Now how about some life drawings from you? Maybe studies?
Everything seems to be from your head, and further more, I'm not sure you're really trying to step out of your comfort zone.
On the other hand, you have a strong style, and perfecting it might be what works for you. (A decent women is still something you should have in your arsenal )
Very nice stuff man, I like your style! You said you had loomis lying around, and I believe it shows, your stuff is damn good. I would like to see you work on faces, though. While yours are okay, there are some proportional issues. Good luck!
Weee! My first post as an 18-year-old!
Lotet: Thanks for the compliments, I've begun to work alot on faces, and it is really beginning to pay off as well. Don't think I would've done it if it hadn't been for your comment here.
Hamsta: Thank you for kind words. You're right, I only have one life drawing in here (The guy with the guitar) and I can see how it would help me. Females are the next thing I'm gonna learn to draw. I sketch them alot, although I don't post many of them.
Matthew Forte: Actually, I've never really studied the book, just looked at the pics. Good faces coming right up!
Arrowhead: Glad you liked my cat thing! Thanks for stopping by!
Now for the pictures I'm uploading.
The black and whites are for a movie me and a few friends made for a school project. If you want to see it, heres a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3GAUWyHcAo
My job in the project was to create the art, the music, write half the script, direct and (Against my will) act.
The others are random drawings. The one with the big banner was heavily inspired by a guy in the art crusades.
hey nice sb you got here. you've got pretty sweet designs and ideas. i think some more anatomy study definitely wouldn't hurt. also try working more on the values in the paintings to help bring up the contrast. keep it up!
To live is to create, to create is to live. Without art and music, I do not know how I would get by in my day to day life.
Hi there, i have 18 too xD, nice stuff you got there, you must keep practicing!, check my sb if u have time, keep it coming! cheers!
A few sketches I did recently and a piece I spent about two hours on with an animated GIF of the process. Not extremely happy with the colouring, but it's still the best human I've made to date. Used some ref from a tutorial by Idiot Apathy.
EDIT: If you can't see the GIF being animated, it's because your browser has already played through it. Just refresh the page.

Would he walk upon the water If he couldnt walk away?
And would you, Would you carry the torch for me?
Hey, thanks for the SB comment.
As for yours, you have lots of ideas, and thats a good start. It looks like you've gotten to the point where you are confident in your ability to draw, as in you are drawing what your mind tells you to draw and putting the line where your mind tells you it is supposed to go, which is good: your hands are trained.
The next trick is to train your mind, especially in learning the human form. You've already got some ideas in your head of how it should be (wider at the shoulders, narrower at the waiste) however thats just a start. In your sketches it is perfectly fine to show an underdrawing, so use and underdrawing to plot out the basic skeletal form: ribcage, pevis, trunk connecting ribs & pelvis, upper leg, lower leg, foot, upper arm, lower arm, hand. Don't bother with the external details untill you have that figured out, then lay in the muscle groups.
Also, the only ovals you should be drawing are in the ribcage and the head. Do NOT draw the limbs with ovals, or else you will get sausage links for arms and that just doesn't work. It looks like you are starting to figure that out in some of the newer ones, but I figured that it wouldn't hurt if I reminded you.
Splatter cat is my fav of these. That joker looks really fresh too, never seen a take on him quite like that, I also like the woman smoking the cig. Your gesture stuff looks good and i like your facial studies, anatomy is a bit rough, but that can be remedied with more life study. go up and ask random girls if you can quickly sketch their picture, most of the time they're really flattered, and you get the benefit of practice so everyone's happy. For the digital stuff, i would say it's better to go in with a stronger working initial sketch before painting. The april 17th post is solid. keep up the good work!
"Today, a young man on acid, realised that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves... here's Tom with the weather." - Bill Hicks
duuude, that last one(three?) is awezome, i dont care which one looks the best, they all look great in theyr own way.
