    miNzketchbook pieces from 2007

    Hey everybody !

I know that I'm not that good but I'd really like to show some of my works from 2007 . I think I really improved my skills this year and I hope that I'll get better in 2008 as well !

They are in chronological order , so the latest things are at the end of the post ^^ . Hope you enjoy !

Some really nice design stuff,. and really beautifull colours, you're definitly on the up and up. You probably know this, but your human characters are probably your weakest area, not terrible, they're just damn hard to get right, I'm sure with more anatomy study you'll improve even more though, good work.

I'm with Dave. You have a great handle on color, form, movement, composition, mood, imagination and concept - everything you need to be successful concept artist - except anatomy. Without nailing down anatomy, you will not get jobs, simple as that. And I think that would be a terrible shame, because you have a tremendous amount of talent.

Make 2008 your academy year - take life drawing classes, sketch people on the street, get artist's anatomy books. Sketch and study 'til your hand drops off. Do that, and by this time next year you'll be killing us.

    Those are very good.
First thing I noticed was THIS!I remember it being a winner in Desing-a-Weapon contest.
So Im guessing you are a GW player? By your other concepts I can see you get alot of inspiration from Guild Wars.

As for crit Ill just second what NathanLong told you.

    Until next time,

Sick! The environments and creatures are my favorite. Great designs brought together with good color sense. You're characters work well from a styled viewpoint.

    cool stuff minze.
you got a great sense for perspective and the scenes look really professional.
I just think you could try to use some more smooth shading and blending on some of the creatures. not the ones made from rock obviously ;P
but that design and execution of the drawing bot towards the end of the first post is excellent. keep at it
