When the lights go down in the city
And the sun shines on the bay
I want to be there in my city
So you think you're lonely
Well my friend I'm lonely too
I want to get back to my city by the bay
I moved out to san francisco this year in january to attend the concept art school... and I got more than I bargained for... somehow I have an awesome school with the best education and most devoted people I've ever seen, a full time job at a great studio, and the pleasure of being around very talented and generous, kind and funny people every day. This year went by really fast... but looking back... i guess a lot of things have changed.
These were all done this year... it's a mixed bag and they're posted in no particular order..
mad skills. Lovely work.
(that's really what i blurted out when i saw the pencilled barbarian)
i mean i've seen some stuff in your sb,but really, this is mindblowing.
curses! i need to get better.
p.s.:did you use any ref on said barbarian?
I love your colour work. This is exactly what kinds of colours I'd love to learn how to use. has schooling helped you with this? I'm considering taking classes.
It's time you start teaching me Whit...
awesome talking to you the other night, man.
looks like you don't need any more encouragement
hope to run into you sometime in the future.
your art is my new drug... and I think I just ODed
congrats whit thse look stunning! fine body of work and many fine bodies as well.
i've always admired in your digital stuff how you take a few scrapes and scribbles and turn them into a stunning visual. oils are kicking ass as well!

Amazing work! Love 03.jpg, is that one new?

After seeing the first few seconds of your video demonstration, I was sure you are a stoner...

I need to find a way to wear you like a skin, so I can take your place at that atelier and take over parts of your brain since you seem to be making too much progress.
More than allowed in fact. *calls the progress police*
Do you know the feeling and emotions you have when opening a new thread and seeing stuff the is brilliant? This is exactly what I am feeling right now. Your art is really amazing and you did a great job with this images.
Hey Whit. Great stuff.
Looks like you like to use both traditional and digital mediums. Do you think painting helps your digital works or both mediums are just tools and it depends on what effect you wish for and what it is being created for?
Loved the DVD for the Submarine Hanger!
How did you manage to get into the CA school? Well connected, or rich parents, or just lucky?
Keep up the improvements!
Your work is hot!! I'm not referring to the subject matter, either... At least not specifically.
Man, your colors and textures are wonderful. Not a single one of those images has a color scheme that I don't enjoy on some level. Great stuff. Very inspiring.
