One Year: Lots and lots of stuff... huge DL and NSFW all that shiza

When the lights go down in the city
And the sun shines on the bay
I want to be there in my city

    So you think you're lonely
Well my friend I'm lonely too
I want to get back to my city by the bay

I moved out to san francisco this year in january to attend the concept art school... and I got more than I bargained for... somehow I have an awesome school with the best education and most devoted people I've ever seen, a full time job at a great studio, and the pleasure of being around very talented and generous, kind and funny people every day. This year went by really fast... but looking back... i guess a lot of things have changed.

These were all done this year... it's a mixed bag and they're posted in no particular order..

I love your colour work. This is exactly what kinds of colours I'd love to learn how to use. has schooling helped you with this? I'm considering taking classes.

I've got a question for you, in general, do you sketch more in digital or with pencil?

I need to find a way to wear you like a skin, so I can take your place at that atelier and take over parts of your brain since you seem to be making too much progress.

    Hey Whit. Great stuff.

Looks like you like to use both traditional and digital mediums. Do you think painting helps your digital works or both mediums are just tools and it depends on what effect you wish for and what it is being created for?

Loved the DVD for the Submarine Hanger!

How did you manage to get into the CA school? Well connected, or rich parents, or just lucky?

    Keep up the improvements!

Man, your colors and textures are wonderful. Not a single one of those images has a color scheme that I don't enjoy on some level. Great stuff. Very inspiring.
