What the hell happened to my Firefox?!

Alright, heres what happened...I went to go lay down with my girlfriend for a little bit, Firefox was working just fine before I went in to my room. Nothing was open except for Photoshop, and nothing was recently downloaded. When I came out though, I opened Firefox, and every single one of my add ons that I had installed popped up, acting like they were just put on. Then I go to my favorites, EVERY SINGLE BOOKMARK is GONE.....I mean there was nothing in there. Most of my add ons were turned off, the theme I had disappeared, and even my email notifier was gone and everything on it was gone. It was like Firefox was recently just installed. But the weird part is that the whole history is still on here.

So anyone know what happened? Or has this happened to anyone else?

FUCK YOU YA PRETENTIOUS DICKS!! BAN ME!!

Ya ya... this happens to me about once a week. What you need to do is open up your bookmark manager, import bookmarks from file, then computer, documents and settings, application data, mozzilla, firefox, whatever it's titled as, bookmark backups, 12/26/07 .
Should make everything good as new!

What the hell happened to my Firefox?!

It only happened to me when clicking on links in external applications, for example one someone sent me in Gaim. I found out that the reason for this is that it was loading Firefox 1.0.7 and my theme wasn't compatible with 1.0.7. This is because the preferred browser was "mozilla-firefox" and /usr/bin/mozilla-firefox still pointed to 1.0.7 but /usr/bin/firefox pointed to 1.5 so I simply changed the preferred browser to "firefox" and it works perfectly. Been having this problem since 1.5 was released and it just suddenly came to me today whilst doing something else.

I have never had that happen for me except for when it was these 3 reasons:

CCleaner (a popular junk file cleaner program) will actually mess with your browser's cache. it affects chrome to high hell, but it did clear my bookmarks on FF once, but I had them backed up.

someone else in your house touched it while you were absent... duh.

FF automatically updated (somehow?) while you were away. when that happens, sometimes you can get a wipe like that, especially say... jumping from ff2 to ff3, some themes and add ons aren't even ff3 compatible yet.

    SKETCHBOOK COMING SOON!

I CANT USE CUSTOM PICTURES IN A SIG?! PREPOSTEROUS!
