your determination makes me blush. i often get annoyed with myself because i don't draw often enough, and when i draw it looks nothing like what i was trying to draw. i 'sense' the same anger here, but damn, at least you get things done. baby steps are steps forward after all, no matter how small. i'm still crawling on my belly compared to this.

if this is the result, keep the anger alive!

oh and another thing, just a suggestion. do some of your studies on black paper. i like to fully blacken my paper with charcoal and then draw by erasing with an kneadable eraser or a piece of cloth. you develop another way of looking at objects this way. you don't draw lines, but you draw the lights. very interesting and it gets you really cool results most of the time. you pay more attention this way, because you're not used to drawing this way. probably that's why they tend to be so succesful, these drawings. just a suggestion.

    Really dig your stuff...
Your progress is unbelievable and really inspiring....important thread in CA in my opinion.
Only comment I would make is that your human faces are all looking very similar...would be cool to see you experiment with different character...fat, long, rond...stuff like that....

    Keep it up!!

Nice to see you do lots of studies (inspiring for me to do more too), but make sure you don't forget about working on other stuff - like ideas, story telling, emotion, composition and so on. Apart from developing technically (which is very important) you shouldn't forget about developing artistically (you had some nice stuff at the start of the sketchbook when you did more personal work).

I agree in regards that your faces all tend to look a bit similar - maybe taking a break from working on anatomy and working on something else could be beneficial.

    Anyway great stuff

Nice nice, you've proven my theory that people can learn to draw in 1year.
Where do you get your studies from, man?

Btw, you do know all your characters, male or female, Look like you right? =)
I wish I could draw as much as you!

Your studies are my favorite part of this sketchbook. It's something I'm trying to do a lot more of. Seconding the question of where you get the material for your studies from. Are they mostly just from photos or from memory?

Good proportions and some great studies you have here, the only tip would be to practice just a tiny bit more on values.

Algenpfleger I love your pencil and digital work, and I love your whole process of getting better, its amazing wat time and will would accomplish, Ive been trying to make the cross from traditional painting to digital painting, but its so hard, it seems like I wont ever get used to it, but others say it just takes time, effort and a positive attitude, thank gosh I have amazing people like you to actually have show of hard work and determination. THANKS SO MUCH.
