Aaah i fail! Didn't do anything yesterday, although the title says updated daily. Just worked on that WIP.

    Zeitwolf, iceman478, thank you

So today nothing digital, just some hand studies after Bammes and then a whole bunch of drapery studies from life. On the last two pages I used some document liner which has an awesome feel to it, I'll use that thing more often.

Wow, hands! I think the ones holding things are your best! Keep practicing, looking promising!

    Carbono, thank you!

Here's stuff. First are some characters, then some arms. Those ugly faces are from life, drawn on the bus. Can't draw a straight line with our bumpy roads.
The girl with the torch is the current status of a WIP of mine... don't know how to push it further, and think i lost interest. Any kind of critique would be appreciated.
Those poses are 30 seconds and they suck :-/

    Hey algenpfleger,

Thanks for coming by my sb. I think you got alot of great things happening here. Really good studies and those arm studies are great also. Hmm...I need to do some of those.

About the wip your working, it looks pretty good so far. You got a great sense of color and nice strokes. I think it just needs little tiny touches to finish it up really. You could possibly add sparks to the torch to give it a slight effect. I dunno...I can't really critique it too much. The legs could use alittle more smoothing. If you want to get heavy critiques you might want to put it in the critique forum.

In anycase I'll be keeping a lookout. Great work!

Your dedication is great. You will make lots of progress. Drawing so much can almost be work, but it pays off.

I only have one critique, which may be the fault of the scanner: some of your pencil work seems to need good healthy black. In some places, you employ your darks very well, but in others your renders are slightly weakened due to the lack of a nice dark. Maybe try to think particularly hard about darks in a few drawings. If you like the result, keep it up. If not, don't.

If the lack of darks is due to the scanner, feel free to ignore.

    Alpenpfleger??? Netter Username...

Well, first of all, you are on the right track! Study anatomy is essential if you wanna improve in figurative drawing and painting.
It is also great that you do imaginary stuff here and there, in your stage i would recommend to work with reference, especially with paintings, colored stuff.
The thing is that you just have to know how to create realistic skin, distance,
textures, color relation etc. In between imaginary stuff should be done to use your knowledge from reference stuff and other studies (anatomy) and see what you really learned from them.

    So keep it up!

Sedig: Thanks, i hope so And you're right about the darks, saw this stuff on another monitor today and it kinda looked... wierd. I think I just got to calibrate mine so i can adjust the scans properly.

Farin: Thanks dude! I'm from Chemnitz, Saxony. In the deep east...

Xaya: Almost It's al<G>enpfleger, with g Thanks for the advice, I'll use more reference!

Here's what i did today... anatomy, sketches on the bus and some poses.

Train sketches and non-reffed digi doodle. Seems like while I improve at some things, I get worse at some other :-/
