Great work Jeff, but you hear that all the time, don't you? ^^ nyerk, nyerk.

Altho the vapire chicks are simply amazing, there's one thing that bother's me.
Blood's usually not that bright and juicy, its more dark-red'ish. Even light blood dries fast and turns dark. Hope that hint was usefull, best wishes ~Ice

hahaha! that's flattering, but I'm still a long way off from charging money for what I know. maybe I'll do it for free..

Just a quick comment (not a crit) on third sketch in this last post (marked 15 min):

Careful where you're making right angles with those overlapping lines of yours. Compositionally there are few things stronger than a right angle (hence the strength of the symbol "X"). You don't want to draw attention to parts that don't want or warrant it. I do realize this is a study and that composition is not really the point of it all, just thought I'd mention it...

but cool update - I'm digging it.

Love that last one! It definitely has a lot of the awesome that's in your pencil sketches, and the design is really interesting.

    Thumbs up

Okay, first of all, I'm a sucker for the word "Humble," so you got me in here with that thread title

Great job on this one. Hell, the kneeling girl looks a lot like my cousin

Very very lifelike and well done.

I noticed that in this drawing, there are some anatomy mistakes... such as the mouth being too close to the jaw--but I figure a guy as good as you is probably doing it on purpose.

I need to read your whole thread soon. Great talent you have developed in yourself.

    Thinking connects desire with creation.

Good stuff! Carefull with this last one. He has that big skarf and it hides his neck. Right now it looks like you placed the head to low eliminating the neck. You could put it a bit higher and keep the headtilt. Or you could relax his right shoulder it looks like he is lifting it. CHeers! Good luck in the Team Chow!

    Hey Dek!

That vamp illustration, in on its own is quite good, but there are aspects that don't really work too well, like the fact that it is not at all dramatic enough. This is a moment where her life is made anew, and everthing changes, she also has a frakkin gaping wound in her neck, so I would think she would be a little more worked up than that. All in all though, it is a very nice painting, but it is more pretty than it is powerfull, which is what makes it a little weak.

Anyways, most of your stuff kick arse, so keep at it!

That master copy is sweet! ( Hah, its always a bit odd for me to talk about masterpieces like Bouguerau's one using the expressions: badass, awesome, bitchin'... know what i mean? )

    Hi there,
I just finished flicking through your whole damn Sketchbook! I have never seen 27 pages at a stretch of anyone else before. Once I saw the first 2 pages, it felt like... un-put-down-able. You are a full fledged artist, no doubt about that. Especially when it comes to painting women, you are the man.
Your skill in the field of female anatomy is like a gift from God! I also like the treatment you give to the skin tone and texture. Great work, man, its very inspiring, honestly.
