Animals! (Well, creatures anyway)
Hey, guys! Finally worked up the courage to post some art. Quite intimidating with so many amazing people here! These are done in Painter IX and Photoshop. The 'jellywhale' is a personal piece, but the two others were commissioned.

The Libra is sweet. I don't see that thing hiding in the wild, though.
The gnoll is something else. Very dog-like. More so than any gnoll versions I've seen.
I've got my eye on you from now on, Tessilago!
You know I think your pictures are pretty but some of the functionality seems imaginative at best. That might be something to focus on.

Those are really cool!
I especially like the Dog-man!
I disagree with Blue-Disciple, I think the bottom cat could blend in the wild (depending where).
It looks like it's markings were influenced by tigers, okapi and a little bit of zebra.

PS: I think the first drawing need some light and shadow corection from the bottom side of the Libra, take at look of your light sources, the bottom tentacles can't be that much light, they are under body shadow

Amazing works tessilago, especially the last one.

Great work on the wolf (or jackal) there by the way. Fur structure and body proportions are perfect :3

The jellywhale piece is quite monochrome and it's drawn somewhat weird (I don't really understand the belly-tail area). Maybe if you would have used a different pose it would have worked better?
I feel like an ass for saying this because the last two pieces are really great, I love the dogman especially

Im blown away by the Jellywhale. Such an awesome idea. The other two are very well executed too, the Libra has a real fantasy feel to it which is a nice touch.

These are some nice creature designs! The felid at the bottom is gorgeous. It's markings are striking, and the anatomy was executed very well. The only flaw I can see is very minor: you went a little overboard trying to render every strand of hair in its tail. The way you rendered its mane was more tasteful.
The second critter is also very good. You did a great job combining human and canine anatomy here, especially in its paw-hands. The colors of this piece aren't really harmonious, though. The colors on the creature itself work fine, but the colors of the background and of its little accessories aren't the most complementary you could have chosen. Its right upper arm seems odd, too; a little too long and a bit bendy.
The jelly-whale image, like others have said, is very monochromatic. This ties in to my critique of the dog-creature that you need to practice your color work a bit more. Also, I have some issues on the design of the creature. The whale part has a good design, original yet still reminiscent of existing animals. However, I don't like the jellyfish tentacles on its underbelly. For the dog-man creature, you combined the features of the two different animals very well. You made its limbs both somewhat manlike and somewhat doglike. For this creature, rather than synthesizing the features of these two creatures, it looks like you just pasted the jellyfish tentacles onto the whale. In addition to not being very good design-wise, that blob of tentacles doesn't really make sense. Why does this giant, filter-feeding animal need a glob of tentacles protruding from its belly? I do like the tentacles around its mouth, though.
I hope these crits helped. Good work, overall.

I personally like the first piece. I don't see it as one cohesive creature, as others have mentioned, but I see some sort of transformation. It looks as if the whale is giving birth to this tentacled organism, or the organism has used the whale as a host, and is finally ready to dispense of him, eager to take on the curious diver.
nice works, I'd definately like to see more
