    Yaayyy Asa's back

I REALLY like the almost vector style for the fall final. It looks very clean like it could almost be a post card.

Also, the cat lady quick sketch is pretty awesome too.

I would suggest to watch out for the little sketchy lines, try to use your whole arm even when using the tablet. It helps maintain a consistency for the forms.
Anywho... nice to see you backies

Good to see again. If you decided you're going for illustration then it's time to start drawing huge amount of stuff every day .

I really like the sketch for Summer. It has nice movement.

    Keep going...

Where are you!?! Hope all is well. I'm digging the character work here. Any more tilt shift experiments?

I like how the final Autumn piece came out. Only thing that bother me is the thumb sticking out of the pocket. It might be natural to put the whole hand in. Personal taste though.

    Hai! :]

Famous last post words: "So if I'm not updating this thing at least weekly, feel free to kick my behindus." :/

Not gonna bother writing long excuses here, but yeah, have been busy but still should be drawing more. It's odd, though. Not that I've made the decision to make drawing as my career, I've become much more stricter on myself. Like everything has to be perfect--gonna make my living on this, after all. Really not good. I hope this will fade away soon enough.

Anyway, afraid I don't have a lot to show, but I've actually been waiting for CA's attachment manager to work for a couple of weeks now--too lazy to find an outside host :p

AvisNocturna - Hey Avis! I'm currently locating in Freiburg It's such a lovely city to stay in! Thanks for the comments, too. Yeah, I too did prefer the b/w sketch, at least she's smiling, heh.
Mat Kaminski - Maaaatttt Glad to see you here, too! Thanks for the nice comments and advise Yeah, gotta remember to use my whole arm, I really tend to scribble, ugh. Will make a mental note of it.
Farvus - Hey man! Thanks I realize that, yeah, I really need to become a drawing machine now. Somehow my life keeps getting in the way, but hopefully I'm slowly getting there.
Hookswords - Hey! Glad to see you here Thanks for the comment! Ah no, I'm afraid I haven't done any tilt shift lately, but I really ought to, those are so fun. Thanks for the reminder!
Pigeonkill - Thanks Others have pointed out the hand in pocket, so it's probably not just you, I'll remember that next time: keep things natural!

    So some stuff.

Random sketches. One of Black Spot, but never did post it..

Lara Croft I rather like the sketch! But my poor colour attempt sucks so far. And so does that sorry pyramid :p

Hopped on the Ruffnut-love-bandwagon from How to Train Your Dragon Not sure which I prefer, the basic sketch or with colour, so here are both.

So I got totally hooked on Portal--a very original and fun video game. So this is something different, I made this object from the game with SketchUp. I rather enjoy doing 3D

    Companion cube!!!!

With that said, I love your drawings! The yoga instructor turned out really well, I think - if you're concerned about the face, I think the lips are what throw the colored version off - her lips are longer in the sketch, so in the colored version she looks a bit like she's pursing them, you know? It kind of creates the illusion that her whole jaw is moved forward a little bit.

Some really great stuff in here! The painting of your classmate on page 17 is particularly great (really nice skin tones and just generally well painted!).

Hey hey AsaB!! it's been sooo long since I checked out what you've been up to! wowzers looks like all sorts has been going on in your life and awesome you've decided to make a career of your great artistic talents :high five!: Simply too many pieces I like to comment on particular ones but loving the energy and life in your work! In my experience it's the ability to express that grabs the clients attention and with the lovely quality of your work should just be a matter of time before you start getting work rolling in

But! I'm not happy with you! - last post over a month ago O.o !!!! :takes run up for behindus kicking!:

Lol - jk I wouldn't kick a lady! Keep rocking and please share some more of your fun creations!

Glad you got to play Portal! :3
You know, you have some stunningly confident lines in your more stylized mode of working. I particularly like the gesture and facial expression from your "Summer" sketch. Need to see more!

Wow, you have an amazing sketchbook going on here and you've progressed so much! It's definately worth some stars imo

Also thanks for commenting on my sb, it's been really usefull to hear your thoughts about it and also reading about your experience school-wise on page 18. I really love your illustrations and your characters seem to have a lot of personallity in them. Will be keeping an eye on this sketchbook more often
