Hey hey, pretty awesome. Your lighting is well executed. The character design is unique and eclectic. I really like where its going. My only real concern is whats happening with the lower half of his body. is it hanging over the side? Is he cut in half? I Think your wanting it to read as if he is climbing up over an edge but the perspective and overlap of the edge looks a bit strange to me. its like a cubist piece looking at two different perspectives at the same time...if youw ere planning to do that...then there is no problem
I think you can skew the ledge a bit and adjust how his torso overlaps on it it will help bring back the dimension of the piece. Greta work so far I look foreward to seeing more as this piece progresses

I like the robot and the lighting.
I don't know what he's reaching toward so its hard to know what the story is. Give us some visual clue in the picture as to what he's reaching for.
The background looks like it has low-rez jpeg bitmapping. Its ugly.
At least Icarus tried!
