hmm brutal honesty eh...well..its not bad...but its not good either.

Your studies to the side are so good and well sculpted and when we get to the full body it kind of all falls apart. As an observation...everything is a little bit stretched or squashed. You seemed to have lost track of your bone structure underneath. The biggest example is comparing the two biceps. The one outstretched looks natural, but the one at rest to his side is so so small it looks like its only a knot under the skin. The pelvis and legs look so tiny and flat they do not match the rest of the body at all. Also, and quite amusingly, his nipples are lopsided (which is an easy mistake, drawing breasts, either male or female is tough). There is a lot to say so i did a mark up for some general ones.

I think You should perhaps look over your piece and compare it to some similar anatomy positions, then try and see the things that look strange, then take a sheet of velum and trace the areas that are right and draw in the correct proportions to solve many of your problems. This is a quick and easy way for you to make corrections without having to reinvent the wheel and start all over.

Its clear you understand muscle definition but your forgetting bone structure, which defines well over 85% of our bodies. Crack open that anatomy book and look carefully at some insertion and origin points.

I'd hate tos end you back tot he drawing board, but you may have too...I always think 3/4 of all problems are solved in the under drawing stage. Please do not hate me for picking at your bones, and even if I knocked you down. I want to help pick ya back up and help you to grow stronger anatomically. By your first sketch of the posterior of the leg I can see you understand it. Its so beautifully done. You just need to apply that kind of thinking and care with the rest of your anatomy. Good work and I hope you only continue to only move forward.

First things first. Gesture, proportions, simple forms then anatomy.

Gesture (or lay in) meaning the action and flow of the figure or basically what the figure is doing. Lots of methods/techniques for this.

Proportion meaning how parts of the body accurately relate to each other size wise. Head is 5 eyes wide, figure is 7 or 8 heads tall, etc.

Simple forms meaning the figure in, well, simple forms like cubes, spheres, boxes and cylinders and how they fit together. Look at Bridgeman's wedging lessons.

Oh, and have a look at...
