hey this is a nice start you have here. The life studies are looking fantastic, however you may want to avoid trying to force out an anime style on some of these pieces. The anatomy, on the faces especially, is fairly off (most noteably the positioning of the jaw and chin in relation to the rest of the face). The best suggestion I can give is just to stick more to life studies for now, and make sure to apply what you learn from life over to when you draw in an anime style.

this may be pointless though since these are older pieces, you may have already fixed these problems in that style so start posting some newer stuff and just keep drawing. All the first post is looking awesome :] you just gotta bring that over to the anime style too if thats what you want to be drawing like.

hope this helps, and if you don't understand any of it feel free to ask, i saw your signature that says your english is poor :] hope its all clear

Some great stuff you got here.
Remember to have a solid foundation in the realistic figure, then you can make styles like anime look amazing!

So i've been meaning to do this for a bit and I finally got around to it. It seems that when you're drawing from memory in the 3/4 view (or maybe its just when drawing anime in general) you're letting the chin fall in and the faces look distorted. I did this draw over for you on one example of the problem to hopefully help you see.

I think I fall into this same problem a lot when I just draw the head like it was a circle. Bridgeman covers this in some of his books, but try putting a box around the head when you're constructing it - it fits better into this shape. You want to keep the chin protruding more than it is, it really just takes practice and knowing what to look for.

hope this helps dude :] keep up the bridgeman studies they're looking good

Hey Jiang, sweet to see your work, I love the manga style you've got as well as the studies from life - keep it up and keep posting dude. I'm interested as to how you created the pieces in your third post - did you use watercolour combined with digital painting? Take care

Great color sense from your old ones, and I like that you're taking the time to do those studies...I should learn from that

The manga is cool and stylish but as others said, while you shouldn't give it up for good, its best to give it a break for a while to learn the art fundamentals, that way, when you draw anime it will be improved from your understanding of realistic drawing. Most of all don't ever stop, cya around.

Very nice linework. I love how bright and colorful some of your old works are. I have one question, what kind of paper is the pinky, grainy stuff?

Sweet start so far. I'm sure there will be much more coming soon enough.
