    Rhet Harrison: I have been painting in oils for about one month now. You should definately try them out.
    I felt like the shadows in the face could be slightly darker, so I changed it. I'm not really sure about it though. Only a rather subtle change.

    hi cepro
    good progress, your drawings are great you choosed the right way and the right time to enter to oil.

    i was right when i suscribed(email alert weekly) to your sketchbooks. i am following your progress because we are almost in the same situation: university taking times and trying to draw the remaining time. Il also tried oil and clay sculpture. but the oil only monochromatic i will try colors next time.

    about your clay head , use any armature ?

    Hi Zou
    No I don't use an armature. I sculpt it out of one big chunk of clay.
    Here's a Chuck Close study.

    thanks for the comment tokotewhero;
    well, I haven't posted here in months, but it's not like I have been lazy or anything. Actually, luckily I have been more productive than ever in my life. I'm currently working on two medium-sized (110x155) canvaces. One is already finished, but I probably won't be able to take good photos for quite some while (2-3 months probably).
    Anyways, here some stuff. 2 quick Shawn Barber studies and some train-sketches. I have plenty more of the latter, but I think I'll just post sort of a "best of".

    whoah nice heads. I don't suppose I could talk you into posting those graphite drawings a little larger with some more contrast. I would really like to get a closer look.

    your train sketches show a lot of personality, i like them! perhaps you could move on to drawing more of the figure.

    katinki, thanks, I'll be going to nude lifedrawing, once the wintersemester starts.
    thesadpencil, thanks.
    paran0id, yeah, I've had some awkward moments, too
    Khakibin, all of them are Din A4
    bhanu, thanks for the crit. I didn't see that with the midtone

    I've been too tired the last days to do do any new train-sketches (spending most of my time painting). But here finally is something new.
