    Jon man, looking good!
lemme ask you, how is it that you design those really small significant details like windows and such on buildings? As seen in your LMS?

You've been really kicking ass here man. You're character renders are getting better. I'm also liking the vertical line patterns going on in some of your enviroments lately. Smile

    Hey Jon,

Sorry I couldn't make the Manchester meet, looks like it was fun from what I saw in the Uk thread. Anyways, after neglecting the sketchbook section on CA for the longest time I thought I'd check out the sketchbooks of people I've met. I really like all your environments, especially the pirate ship looking one and your LMS entry(wish I could see a higher res of that!). At anyrate, see if you can come down London way sometime, I'm sure someone from the London CA contingent could put up for the night if traveling down from Manchester and back again in one day is too much.

    Regards,
    James

I really like the vehicle designs, very insect like!

The film still studies are quite nice, but they appear a little scratchy in some spots, maybe try a larger brush or squint your eyes a little more to get volumes down in globs?

    Thanks guys,
SmartKyle, Thanks man. The scratchiness is something im well aware of, but like to include and leave loose in these studies. They are done quickly with big blobs as you say. But the scratches are a nice touch for me.

    Cheers guys
Need to get back into vehicles more before I go back to Uni this September. Trying to develop a quick, effective and most importantly unique looking style for rendering my cars. I'm sick of the super tight airbrush and dodge rendering of cars I see so much of.

You got some cool stuff here

heres some super subjective personal thoughts: In your car rendering looking at the last post it's rendered kind of matte all the way maybe render an element or two glossy either to add another element into the car design or to use it in a more compositional way to lead the eye or both.

My sketchbook flawed to the max page 5
    Ps:Hope you understand my English.
Remember my advices taste best with a grain of salt.
