Looking fine indeed, keep doing that! That space stuff reminds me of a game Hegemonia (or that something) btw- is it inspired by?

    a la bapsi, thanks!

mydrim, never heard of that game as far as I can remember, gotta look it up.

Ok, back from my holidayz again. Went to scotland, backpacking in the wild, and I can say it was amazing!! A really beautifull country unfortunately I didn't got to draw as much as I wanted to but here is an update again:

    nice last painting!

only critique I'd mention is that the whole picture is tiltet to one side - it would have been nice to give the light a different angle than the station...

Your sketchbook is coming along nicely. You've been improving. I'm really enjoying the progress you've made. It seems you're more of a machines and landscapes person. They come more naturally to you than people do. But you have made clear progress in that department since you began this sketchbook. Cant wait to see more.

    dan valkar, thanks!

bakatron, I don't know homeworld, gonna check it out!

Zeitwolf, yeah you're right, and I should fix it somehow, just haven't figured out how yet.

Envisor, you're correct to say I feel more comfortable with machines and landscapes. But I think it is good to have atleast basic "skills" in drawing the human so that I can use that later on if necessary, but I still have a long way to go before I can draw one decent hehe :p

Didn't draw that much, got the news that I didn't got accepted to the art school I wanted to go to yesterday, so that kinda sucks

but here is a tiny update anyway:

aw dude, hearing about your art school sucks. but don't let that get you down. you're really good and even improving heaps. you'll get in next time, or into another one.
this is one of my favourites of yours.
    http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...9&d=1213211892
and you're really stepping it up with that space station. immediately reminded me of star wars. looks a bit like ewoks are building their own deathstar
anyway just tiny crit. easy thing to fix. my eye immediately got drawn to the planet because it's a bit eggshaped.

I came here for an eye injury, and none of that here. instead theres art... ART.

What the hell kind of game are you playing here!?

Apart from that, nice speedy in #100 and the spaceship+station are looking tight in #94. The planet, as stated, is a bit eggshaped, and it it's not quite on par with the spaceship+station.

Next time I come here I'd better find myself with an eye injury, or someones getting his house burnt down...

Nice SB, your progress is moving along nicely. I especially like your pencil work, and that last finished space station.

studies are looking good, nice photo's too (you are right about Scotland, I took a holiday on the Isle of Skye once... AMAZING). that shot of the buildings being lit by the early morning/late evening light looks great.

    Hello D.

Things are coming together nicely here, it sucks that the school denied your application. Sometimes it is best to think of it not as a disapointment, but as an opportunity.

    ditchman, thanks!

Jens, that was actually my original plan 1-2 months ago. It turns out you have to have a "vwo" to be able to study at any art school in belgium, and all I have is a "havo" which is enough here in holland. Now if I'm correct you can also do a 21 test in belgium to get accepted just like in holland, but well... you have to be 21 hehe and I won't be that untill April. Thank you very much for the info and the help though! Didn't know you went to St.Lucas

The Crazy Dude SRD, it sucks, but they will have had there reasons, and maybe it is indeed for the best
