    jorge f. muñoz's (yorko) Sketchbook

Hi there everybody, my name is jorge f. muñoz aka yorko, i'm a mexican artist, I signed up long time ago but I've never dedicated myself to open a thread and interact with you guys and girls.

I'm completely self-taught. I've trained myself as a comic artist, but I want to expand.

here are some works, past and present, every comment and critique is welcome:

    one question ....
when u colour in ur drawings in photoshop or wateva ... do u use solid colours(100% opacity)?
and wat types of brushes u use?

I use Photoshop 7, and I play with the settings of opacity and flow, normally I put them at 40 percent more or less, the brush I use is the default brush, the round one that appears at the top of the brush palette, I just adjust the spacing in brush dynamics, but I'm starting in this PS painting thing, so they still look kind of rough.

Nice work!! Best sketch book I've seen out of the 13 or 14 I looked at today. Maybe the best I've seen in a long time actually. Your style is so different though, it's hard to compare. At any rate... You're a good artist!!

I did this for the Industrial Design of the Week activity thread, but couldn't finish it, the deadline was today and I started it yesterday at the eleventh hour, I found that part of the forum a bit late but I'll participate from now on

Hey! It's the first time in some weeks that I looked into the SBs again. I'm glad I peeked! You have such awesome lines and interesting characters! I LOVE the picture on post 11! That detail is amazing!!

I can't really think of anything to say for the character designs, except it'll be great seeing what more you're coming with! I only have a gripe about the comic in post 1: I notice some lines are outside the panels and they probably shouldn't be. Now if this is just a draft, then that's just fine. It just looks so good and inked, I had to mention.

Anyhoo! I'll be sure to peek through your SB more sometime! ^_^
