A Traditional Artist Entering A Digital World!!

Thought I would start a sketchbook after much lurking on this site.
I am a traditional artist who graduated with a BA(hons) Degree in Fine Art in 1998, and it wasn't until 2005 that I discovered the joy of digital painting.

So here are my efforts...taditional and Digital, with a little overlap sometimes.
    Hope you enjoy lookin' around!!

    Thanks Amontillado!!

    Title: 30 min sketch
    Size: A4
Medium and Support: Ball point pen and paper

I did this sat watching TV, I have a SKY+ digital box which allows you to freeze live programmes and rewind, record...etc..etc.
Unlike the video no tracking lines or blur occurs...
So I paused the tv and did this with just a Biro....the good thing about a biro is you can't rub it out so you have to look carefully before putting down any marks.
The bad thing about doing it in a sketchbook on your lap is that the perspective gets thrown out...a lot!!
Gonna do a little more analogue stuff....I can feel the urge to get the oils out creeping up on me!!

Very nice stuff! I think you're doing an excellent job in all these media.

One thing I noticed, though, is you tend to have very heavy lines on some of the faces, particularly the women and mostly around the mouth and nose. It makes them look less realistic.

    blue's sketchbook
Someone gave me this custom title and I will never, ever change it!
