    new artist looking for crits..

    hello people on CA. My name is Martin. on may 10th i will be entering my first comicon Seattles Emerald City Comicon. .. so here is where im hoping you guys come in ..im going to try and post as much as i can here and hope that you guys can give me some good feed back and let me know what i need work on and if my direction is going good. these first few posts will be a load of older work and as i get done with stuff for the con i will post some but not all items im hoping to display there. as you will see some of thse are WIPS.. and some are more graphic design than anything.. i ll post some lifedrawing and finished works as they come. here goes..

    You need to work with a greater variety of brushes... right now there is just too much soft brush work.

    I would suggest letting go of Photoshop for now and concentrate on doing some studies. you need studies all the way around, but you seem to have the drive for it. Pick up some paper and pencil and start a sketchbook. If you need further guidance you can always go to the mentor forum and ask for some help there. (link is on my sig)

    it looks unpleasently soft. Use some hard edge brushes as well. Also, the third image looks a little wobbly in terms of form, in my opinion. Try to make sure that they look properly stable.

    thanks guys for all the crits. everything said is being heard loud and clear.. im laying down the stylus for while, huge in part cus i just moved and its missing. but for the better i guess. so back to the grind stone i hope to update soon. as soon as i unpack my scanner.. my site should be up soon too with more recent works and alot of my sketches and finshed panels .. thanks again..
