    hi nice start and go for the daily stuff,

    i feel you are using your thumb/fingers/soft tissue for smudging to give depth. thats ok but at the moment as you are drawing for quicks n refs shading is not that important. concentrate on the shapes first.

    Thanks for the input sony. I'll keep that in mind as I move forward.

    By the way, the artist who did those two drawings you sketched in your sketchbook is James Ryman. You may have already figured that out by now. He does some really cool artwork which can be found here:

    hey nice idea for cow;
    about the sketch your lines work was good but due to proportion issues it was off, i have just adjusted roughly the proportions of the elements of the face like eyes are much bigger and the nose and lips were smaller.
