Sydney Life Drawing sessions - Interested?

I think I've asked this before but.

How many of yal live in sydney and would be interested in a monthly life drawing session. I ocasionally go to weekly sessions we have at Manly beach above a little bar/cafe. also some at the local art gallery.
I'd like to get a monthly CA life drawing/meet group going but it's pointless setting it up if there aint enough of us here. we'd need at least ten people to make it cost effective.

have you all had a look at the member map function?
North America and Western Europe are swarming with members. The rest of us are like little outcrops of survivors left over from some terrible catasrophy.

Oh, you realise your "Location" still says New Zealand?
Anyway, if something was setup I'd probably go for it.

Don't forget that for life drawing there's always the sketch club sessions at Julian Ashton, http://www.julianashtonartschool.com.au

Plus you probably get to hang out with Briggsy.

I was in Sydney but now I'm in Kiama (3 hours south) and there is very little life drawing around here... so I started my own. I'm struggling to get enough members each week to cover the costs (it's actually a lot easier to find nude models in the area than it is finding artists) but it's a lot of fun. So If anyone lives in the Kiama area, come along!

If you have a group of friends I think it's totally worth starting your own life drawing group, because it's not just about learning, it's a good social event too; Art + Friends = Happiness. There's also monday night life drawing at the TAP gallery off oxford st.

I'm running them weekly on friday's from 10am till 2.30pm. It's the middle of the day because most of the art community here are retired older people. I'm thinking about putting on a night group for people that work during the day. Although I've put it on hiatus until early next year as I'm super busy for the rest of december and the first week of january, but after that it's definitely going to be up and running regularly. Love to have CA'ers come down and have a sketch with us, I'll post the details once it's started again.

bumskee - I'm very happy with the amount of life drawing action round Sydney. I'd like one for the CA crowd is all. And I'm sure there is a few of us here, but 6 replys to this note doesn't really seem like the Sydney Massive.
