snootchy: yo dude! yeah man, I know what you're saying. The actual size of this image way larger, so I was thinking of chopping this image into parts and having only one of those parts being the cover. The rest can be used inside and on the back. I totally agree with the background idea. Thanks!
hi Peetaer! that last one looks good! Can't wait to see the whole thing rendered and finished! as for the background..maybe something a bit subdued and with a darker color scheme..so that the main character still pops up, since he is pretty detailed and busy looking by himself..maybe a swirling portal or something similar?
I SWEAR ON THE GRAVES OF ALL THE TALENTED FILIPINO ARTISTS WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE ME, THE FILIPINO ART LEGACY WILL CONTINUE!
the angry filipino: Yooooooo dude! Good to hear from you again! I like the portal idea; it's like this thing came from another abyss and is heading into another. Very cool idea, I'll play around with that idea.
wassup Peetaer. thx for your comments in my sB. your drawings are amazing dude- after checking your sb i realised how much more i have to work on my drawings. thx for motivation. i really enjoy your creepy creatures. oh and when it comes to art i agree with u a lot. i'll check your sb more often. peace
great job on this last digi paint, i like that your starting out with values first to give the subject form which is there. It seems like your onto something in your head or have an idea, it'd be great to start thinking about edge control and seeing where ur hardest edges maybe and also flat core shadows giving a more harder edge. The image seems to be a bit soft even though i know it may be in the early stages but still good throw in some edge variation
Hi Peetaer, great sketchbook. That last character is looking good! In general you could try to improve your linework, by varying thickness: this will bring more volume in the figures you draw.
