snootchy: yo dude! yeah man, I know what you're saying. The actual size of this image way larger, so I was thinking of chopping this image into parts and having only one of those parts being the cover. The rest can be used inside and on the back. I totally agree with the background idea. Thanks!

hi Peetaer! that last one looks good! Can't wait to see the whole thing rendered and finished! as for the background..maybe something a bit subdued and with a darker color scheme..so that the main character still pops up, since he is pretty detailed and busy looking by himself..maybe a swirling portal or something similar?

the angry filipino: Yooooooo dude! Good to hear from you again! I like the portal idea; it's like this thing came from another abyss and is heading into another. Very cool idea, I'll play around with that idea.

I think you could vary the purple on the pic above with a glaze because there's a lot of it. Maybe add some blues or reds to keep it purple-ish but still have variations. Dig that left arm and hand!

    sup Peetaer,

great job on this last digi paint, i like that your starting out with values first to give the subject form which is there. It seems like your onto something in your head or have an idea, it'd be great to start thinking about edge control and seeing where ur hardest edges maybe and also flat core shadows giving a more harder edge. The image seems to be a bit soft even though i know it may be in the early stages but still good throw in some edge variation

    keep up the great work

Hi Peetaer, great sketchbook. That last character is looking good! In general you could try to improve your linework, by varying thickness: this will bring more volume in the figures you draw.
    Keep going!

great update Peetaer, i like how your refining the ideas in your head out into reality

I think the forms look a bit soft still and could use some hard edges since the character looks really tough, especially with that big meat stick of his!!!
