Hey everybody! Thanks for all the supportive comments! Just wanted to drop by and let everybody know that I'm still here. I've been busy with a number of things (including the album piece) so that's why I haven't posted in a while. Got a bunch of sketches to upload. Will do so soon!
sup Peetaer, hope you had good holiday man! cool sketches, not sure bout the form although it is non human it does have some human elements and even with distortion, it looks a bit off, like if the muscles is stretching or expanding or twisting angular lines may help to accentuate the torsion, might not be making sense but i'll try and post an example of what i'm talking about in my SB, i like how you rendering the form or muscles with the hatching, only crit here is that the values tend to be a bit harsh and could be gradated a bit more evenly, i think it really helps to practice rendering out cylindrical spherical and box forms, also i notice that you tend to use a lot of bubbly type forms for the muscle, i think utilizing different shapes helps to bring visual interest to anatomical sketches just like line variation, kind of like the studies done from bridgemann where you look at spherical forms as well as box and combine the two utilizing the pass wedge technique
