Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
great figure studies! I'd love to see more that are a little more complete, with a lot of value and depth to them. You've got a lot of dynamic lines and poses, so milk it for what it's worth and go really crazy.
Okay! Exams are finally over and I can draw once more, albeit rather clumsily; I'm somewhat rusty after all this time.
Grafguy - Hey, thanks. I see your point about the faces more than ever now that I look over page two, so I'll hopefully work on that.
BohemianChaos - Thank you! I will genuinely set out to finish something soon.
1 & 2: life drawings from car journey

4: posemaniacs, 15 seconds

one thing I've noticed throughout your sketchbook... you avoid hands and feet. Hands can be one of the most gestural parts of the human body, and feet help ground the character... include them, even if it's a gesture drawing!! You don't have to get too detailed.
oh, thanks for stopping by my sb too.
Hey... you really draw from real! I love your devotion to a sketching from life. I like your style. one question: is just something from scanner or do you use a grey something to put shadows?
anjin - I'm not sure, but if you mean the random grey splotches on the side that sometime appear, then those are my scanner's doing. Otherwise I use the side of a pencil for actual shading.
Daily updates sort of went down the pan, but here's an abridged version of work since then:
nice loose style. are all these recordings from life?
what pencils are you using? it looks like a fine mechanical one, and then a softer pencil to shade with, maybe two.

sketches from a book about Greece, two pages from imagination, lots and lots of life drawing, then a few pages of posemaniacs, probably 15 or 30 secs.
I'm posting digital stuff because I can't quite convince myself to do any scanning.
If they're studies, they're either from life, Photography Year Book 1983 or SenshiStock @ deviantart.
Very nice sketchbook, enjoyed looking true it
Keep it up!
All critics/comments are much appriciated
Maximiliaan - Thanks.
mariasun - I agree I need to do way more coloured stuff. I'm really impatient with choosing the right colours so I think I keep avoiding it, but I'll try do some soon as it makes this s/b really boring. Thank-you!
...hopefully this will be the last sketch-only update for a while??
