    LOAB's Sketchbook *CHOW 99 & art update*

This is my first post on CA.... (drum roll.. you've heard that before I imagine.. sigh..well moving on).
I am posting a concept that has refused to die over the past several years and seems at long last to begin realization.
She is SYLPH not a sylph but SYLPH (there is along story there).

The sketches are ordered as they were conceived in my sketchbook each defining another aspect of her being /character/ history/ ideology/ etc.
The sketches are done in graphite and white Berol Prismacolor colored pencil on toned paper and measure 9" x 12".
I would appreciate critiquing of not only the imagery but also of the layout, use and order of text, and if legible organization of ideas.

    Thank You LOAB

    Cow 99

Well here is my first CHOW entry. I decided on an angle that had both dominate personality and power ,but without the obvious.
    Tell me what you think!

u seem to like ur patterns a lot and its a nice pattern too.
but i think ur should focus on practising face proportions (front on)
    even wih the anatomy.
but thats where r lot of ppl have trouble so keep at it.
wat i did was memorised the fundamentals of a profile shot then created my own faced structured upon those.

visit my sketchbook some time and ull be abl to see the faces i did ...
feel free to suggest anything or crit.

but nice work btw (nice spear in last pic lol) nice little info tooo

Check out my SKETCHBOOK ...looking for helpful advice!

    Thanx for the crit!
I plan on doing several complete face studies in the future.
These Sylph pages are more for my understanding of the details of Sylph.
But as ever I must get better!

Here are some of my older works, except pages 52 & 53 it was finished this year.
These images focus on line and "relationships".
    Hope you see something interesting.

These are the final "Sylph" images.
In these she is appropriating my own art from me.
