Great stuff. I really love that city street! Wonderful studies mate. These last posts have a really subdued pallet. Not much saturation. Is that on purpose? It's not a crit or anything, because they look really nice, I was just curious if that was what the ref was like or if that was a choice on your part. Keep posting mate!

    real deal.
Nice use of chromatic aberration. Followed you for a while, I love your work. Literally struggled to think of something to usefully crit, maybe that your shadows in ref work seem a little gray. (check environments, skin tones, flats of parrots. etc.)
    I love your gifs.

You really rendered that sand excellently. It has a weight to it but also has that flowing look that sand sometimes has. Good job.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. But one thing you need to work on is edge control. Things that are coming forward should be played down due to their unimportant or uninteresting quality. Edges play VERY MUCH into how you communicate what story you are trying to tell. Select the things that are important with texture, color and edge etc. and play down those things that you don't want to be the main exhibit in the piece. keep on going man. great effort.

@mattinian, I would look at and paint some master studies of John Singer Sargent's paintings and drawings! He's AMAZING with edges. Copy every brush stroke but keep your mind active and constantly thinking how he emphasizes his subject matter with his lost and found edges. You got this man! progresssssss!
