Oh gosh, I just played through Uncharted 1 and 2, bought the book of concept art and it's what kickstarted me drawing/modeling stuff at home again!
Much respect sir, for the sheer amount of purpose in every stroke. Such focus it must take to condense visually complex environments like this into such tight art!
Aaaarrgh, this is too good!! I just love your style man, simply amazing stuff!

I hope you do a tutorial on how you incorporate textures and other photographic elements in your work because the Uncharted 2 enviros are amazing.
FANTASTIC game, by the way. Just finished it.

MASSIVE update on page 1...thanks for dropping by!
You are so good!!
Honestly your concepts for Tron, looks better than what we could see in the trailer!
It is huge!
Crazy and amazing work, and uncharted 2 was an excellent game too. Thanks for sharing the goods ^^.
Note to self - Do not try to invade your house.
Art so far
Love those Tron pics man! We were in awe!
I am just in love with your work. Must have more!
those enviorment are so amazing
Fantastic work James! I love the way you handled Tron paintings, I imagine it was a bit of a challenge for you as well keeping things loose and juicy amongst all the straight, non-organic forms. But you did it beautifully! Great sense of drama & action, superb lighting and riveting compositions. I always kept your paintings close by while I worked on mine and they really kept me inspired.
I had a question, how much of the work was paintovers? I'm asking because, later in production of tron, once the level design picked up, I started getting very rough screenshots to paint over. It certanly made things go faster. I'm wondering if it was the same in your case...
Amazing works :o
i love all of them.
Gotta bookmark this.
There's just too much, I can get lost looking at each one for so long.
Wow, wow, wow, you're brillant, man !
