Very nice gestural drawings, it shows you draw lot from still life, which is really good. Some of them look a liiiil' bit stiff, try to loosen it some. Not a big deal, they're good already =). You should post creative designs of your own as well. Good job!

Solid work, and I like the mileage you're getting with those figure drawings. They're solid, and you have a firm understanding of gesture and the figure. I also like the life drawings, very confident.

I'd like to see more structure in your work though, especially in the rendering of your figure drawings. that doens't mean you need to spend hours and hours on figure work, but next time maybe try to really articulate the planes and structure of the body. For example, sometimes the knees on your figure are left unresolved, almost with no definition at all when the knee is one of the easiest to identify structure in.

Good stuff though, keep on getting that mileage!!

I like the loose pencil style of your gestures. It gives your work a unique look. If I could make a suggestion, give us more creepy dolls please.

Wow im actually jealous of the gigantic ammount of drawing you've fit into the first page! Great stuff. I think you have a good eye for composition...I look forward to seeing your next stuff.

I hope you do more thumbnails of environments, than take one you really like to full completion. The one you said you may come back to could be cool with neat lighting, however the way the rocks are layered on the back ones it comes off as cartoonish, since they would likely have fallen by now.

yeah where is all the seattle stuff? it's been days!

your train sketches are much better at capturing 'life' than your long life drawing poses. The lines in the long poses (post #11) make the figure look like a big limp noodle, the lines don't describe the form, they just vaguely outline the body. Remember when things are closer to you the lines describing that shape will slightly overlap the shape behind it (For example the first long pose in post 11 where the line of the calf overlaps the line of the upper thigh, that makes it clearer that the lower leg is in front of the rest of the leg.)

also pay attention to the angles of the curves, the are a few that are way too rounded and they flatten the figure instead of describe the shape. Just something to keep in mind

love those train sketches. now post all of that digital stuff you were doing at the workshop!

Hey man, how's it going? I didn't get a single good picture of you from the Hurricane, BTW

You've got a really immediate style, lays in the key lines and values quickly. That school enviro looks excellent too. The only crit I have as a whole is that it looks like you need to work on nailing down firm details, at least in your digi paints.

Instead of having an even gamut of vague sketchyness try taking a couple of key focus points and put in a whole session or half a session's worth of details. (Like say a speedpaint takes 1 hour to do, spend at least another 30 minutes picking out details in the focus areas). Also of course, remember that few things are as important as a strong, clear silhouette (I can see that you are already doing this in your pencil sketches).

I don't remember if I asked you about this before, but what is your long-term goals for the industry? Enviro artist?

Wow, when you post you freaking POST, don't you? Im digging the enviros. The outdoor ones have really nice colors but the one is pretty hard to read. Also, a lot of them look like theyre at a point where they can be tightened up no problem. You dont need to go nuts, you would just have to spend some time on focal areas like David said. Keep it up.
