Well it's a non-profit forum (meaning they don't charge for membership) and they need to fund it somehow. I think right now most of the store profits are going towards the workshop leaving the forum with out much money. Give Jason some slack...

There should never have been any image banner ads anywhere (though obviously there was at one point), this should be fixed now. You should only see the small text ads at the bottom of the page. Jason is doing a test with the text links. Since people have been putting the DVD content on torrents, the slumping sales which fund the site are not substantial enough to maintain CA's progression. Text banners are being explored to offset the lost funds resulting in people pirating CA DVD content. If you see anymore unusual banner ads please report them. Thanks.

Just tossing an idea out there, but when the gallery section gets updated (when will that be by the way?), why not have a paid member area? Have some additional functions for paid members, like you can upload more images than a standard gallery or some customization.

Throw in some extra interesting features really cheap, something everybody can afford and search for many easy ways to pay.
I think alot of members are willing to pay a little for some extra features, with the amount of members here on the forums I think this could work no?

yes, I'd be willing to pay for an exclusive membership (maybe with the new CA?)
Like Epias mentioned, I believe alot of people will be willing to help out with the funding.
