Hey people, a very long time and all that.
I've got to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of work here nowadays - the quality bar seems to be raised every time I visit. Me? I've haven't been actively involved on forums for a while as I've been pretty busy with Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures. Myself and the guys on the project plan to reveal just some of what we've worked in the coming months.
Here's a really small sample of my work to begin with:
Your figures could use more study, but that environment is fantastic. The architecture is great, the lighting is excellent, and somehow you've gotten me to really feel that place, hear its sounds, etc. So, great job with that one. Post more enviros!
Thanks guys for the feedback, both positive and constructive.
As to the anatomy of my armour designs, despite years of life-drawing classes, it still happens to be my greatest weakness and I can as easily nail it as not. Also I keep insisting on not using photo reference when mocking up my figures.
Anyway, we'll try show some more work - updating periodically, and perhaps we can convince our esteemed but reticent Art Director to post as well.
Somewhere in the of 3 thousand individual concepts (there are gigs and gigs of the stuff) have been created for this game over 2 and half years, a lot of it done quickly and more for internal purposes than anything we'd want to show off here - solid ideas but executed on the fly ; )
