Man, I cant even touch what you can do yet,no, I cant see what you can draw yet. Thats how amazing it is, I really like your futuristic digis because they are so realistic, it blends the future with the modern, making it believable. Keep it up man, Bravo

I'm back again with a few questions...
I'm assuming you're using photoshop, right? Do you use a lot of custom brushes in your speed paints? If so would you mind posting them?
How did you create the textures in the ATV painting? I'm assuming that you took a picture, googled for a picture, or created an interesting texture then painted over it. Am I right? How did you get the valley painting to look like paint? Do you have any how tos that are in the bowels of CA that just need to be un-earthed?
Sorry about all of the questions!

fucking awesome... your 'sketches' have always been so full of lovin - i remember the way people were skitzing over your pen/tria/pencil technique back in the day - and the way you used gold leaf in your sketchbook and stuff. How come you dont use ref - is it a 'been there done that' sort of thing or more of a conscious choice to let your ideas flow without influence?

On a more serious note... i think you may deserve a hat tipping. Stay tuned!

Seriously? Badass I find out Sparth has a sketchbook, so there's my speedpainting fix. And now any time I need weird hobo aliens and a plethora of sex toys, my drug of choice is back in town. Thx for putting this up man, made my day.

it's always great to see sketches and process work from professionals, thanks for posting these... my favorite is the ship landing in the volcanic crater, love the texture, and the colors.

Wow. I have a thing for ethereal smokeish stuff flowing of peoples heads, but the fact that dude is just holding a cup, and it looks rediculously awesome with him just doing that, makes it even more.... well.... awesome.

thanks so much for the replies guys. your words mean the world to a tired old man liek me

Coinpurse: haha yeah ill try dude. we'll see what happens.

Chromosome: thanks bro. somehow i figured youd liek that one haha. love yer book by the way. academy is doing well by you. ill be keeping an eye on you

Mr.Blonde: your face is fucking beautiful.

    steak-tron: im sesh!!!!

Dabaers: thanks dude. i had fun on that one!

sparthy: goddamn 6 years eh. thats crazy. thanks for the kind words. i, liek you am always trying to find that balance between readibility and abstraction. sometimes it works, mostly i fall on my face tho haha. hope yer doin good dude!

Darktwin: thanks man. hey anytime you see me feel free to ask me. ill be at the seattle workshop definitely. please dont hesitate to come say hi

    zweiDee: thanks!!

    Spade: thanks to you too!!!

hurricane: hey Bjorn! hope all is well with you and yours. you been killin pretty nicely lately. keep it up!!!

    Evil_Sloth: haha thanks!

AlexC: awww you are way to nice haha. ill definitely stop by your book and offeryou some advice. although it be careful not to follow it too closey haha. i have a couple paintings in the works, but they are still early on in the conception stages still. ill post anything that's worth showing as it comes i promise!

InvertedChalup: man i sure could go for a famous bowl of deliciiousness...(sweet home alabama is playing in my head as i type this thankfully...)

dadushin: hehe right on dude. yeah there are some pretty crazy books in here huh? for oil tuts, i dont have anything really current. ill try to put somehting together at some point. ive also thought about doing a dvd, but i dunno, barbers already got one out, and theres another painter doing one right now too, so i dont know if it would be worth taking the time to teach my backward ass technique with more well informed people showing their process....

Blue Severin: haha just liek the old days. me and sparth..wheres bengal?

Form: ahhhhh memories! i guess im not useing ref so i can learn the visual conventions, and not just copy what i see. if im pulling it out of my head, i can better understand the principals at work, if im copying a photo, im just porting the information. thats not to say i dont ever use ref, but if im sketching and working on small stuff, im not worried about it sucking, so i will try to rely on my memory instead.....hope you are well dude.

Main Loop actually, if iremember correctly, reflections wont show up that strongly from that altitude and distance. like if you look out of an airplane window at a body of water, the surrounding land masses arent always reflected in it. i think it has somehting to do with the viewing angle. or thats what i was going for anyway lol. see you in seattle!

Jake Kobrin: so to answer your questions.. yes. not really. i could, but i really dont have a big set of brushes. you'd just be dissapointed. the atv painting was just paint and maybe a little textural overlaying, i cant remember since i did it a long ass time ago. but no, i painted that completely out of my head, except for the tires, which i did a 3d block in of. i did the valley painting in art rage. and yes, i probably do have some tutorials in here somewhere. but i wouldnt be the one to ask. try the search function hope that helps!

Fvallejo: thanks brutha. thats for dropping by. it was my pleasure going out to ringling. very fun times...keep rockin, you have a nice career ahead of you friend. ill definitely be keeping an eye on you.

    zeitgeist: lol thanks

    OBX: haha thanks dude!

JesArt: just keep painting dude. im not doing anything special. just a lot of mileage, thats all. nothing you couldnt do.

Dan Valkar: masterful...HA! hardly. but im tryin. thanks for stopping by!

Slash: thanks brutha im tryin hope you are well.

Art_Addict: yeesssss!!! i will try. thanks for lookin

cotron: yes that about sums it up haha...

wes: you know it brother! hustlin and supermanning all day baby.

here are a couple more from this week...and some more old skecthes from my rough book. thanks again for stopping by!-c36

No words. Just love the line work; especially the quickie ink works.

But what's really swell (like in a big bad way), are the wee additions - like the hint of a halo around the homeless man's head. Oh the joy of fine and fun stuff! SB's like this one inspire the hell outta me - and at the same time make me sulk back to the corner. Heh.

*sulking back to my sketchbook* (and so I guess I did have words afterall. )

Hey Coro, this book is great, I love the little sketches, and the environment sketches are great as well. We don't get to see a whole lot of the pro sketch books these days (although there are definitely some great ones here) so thanks for sharing this.

wooohooo coro sb! christmas comes early sometimes...

The first two images in this latest post of yours are the best in this sb methinks. They have personality written all over 'em. Other stuff is technically mind-blowing, designs are aesthetically awesome as well as sensible.

I would like to see some more experimentation here and there, just cause you're such a dynamic sob. But I can't throw any crits at the stuff in here, awesome stuff. Have 5 sir.
