    I Guess.........Sketchbook Anyone ?

Ok, hi you guys, I have been here for quite a while and i have now just mustered up enough courage to post a sketchbook, its not that I am insecure, its just that I dont know if I can post everyday (wish me luck), but I am going to try. Thanks to all those who have inspire me to do this, this goes out to all all the sketchbooks I have posted comments on, especially the recent ones (you know who you are). This is my first pic, you say just one, well I am currently in the process of buying a scanner.

    Feel free to critique.

New stuff at the back somewhere

Dwezz:Thanks alot man for the comment it really means alot.

Emokun: Thanks alot for the COOL comment man, Samurai Jack is like one of my favorite cartoons.

Well, you guys here is a tiny update, more will come at the end of december, TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY, YAYAYYY. This update is caricature of me that I had done a little while ago. Now, I really need a lot of work, the reason why I say this is because this was done in pencil, and then marker, so if I was drawing on spot it wouldn't look like this.

Dog's pretty Ill. I like the fact that the combo of bumped up perspective and the way it gets all sketchy at the neck forces the focus on the head itself. This is one of those sketches that even as a finished piece would do well to NOT have a background scene and stuff to distract from the pooch. RAWNESS!!!!!

I think you're really on to you own unique style here.

Sort of pop/poster art if you know what I mean.

You're a definite natural at charicatures, that's for sure!

nice! I like the abstract/graphic stuff! where do you get your inspiration? I think you should finish your pieces though - even if it gets a little boring I find you learn so much more that way! do you know ma'claim (grafitti crew)? they're similar!
    cheers,n.

O D T: Thanks man, I get my inspiration from you guys on this forum, also I like going to the zoo alot, and the animals there inspire me, because I get a sense of my individuality. Too me animals are normal, a rhino is just like another rhino, there isnt really a lot to separate one from another, making them normal, it gives me a lot to be thankful about, all of my friends are artist and without them, I dont think I would be as good as I am today. Thanks for the commit man.

The hands were really quick 4 or 5 min scribbles. The Flowers took me at least 25 min to draw, I had to go outside to draw those, it was fun

Keep working, your strongest piece is the dog.
I want to see more refined to that degree.
Also I want you to try to use one style of shading in a drawing, having too many will create a conflict.
Before you do any more figure drawings, study bone and muscle structure, this helps me a ton.
You have potential. Keep working hard and post often

The style is so THERE man! I could see after some formal study as far as life drawing, texture, and some perspective that would open doors. Go find the magic of 'line' ^_^

    Very inspirational stuff!

Watsup Guys, I know I havent been posting as much as I should but, its really hard to find the time to go to Fedex to scan your artwork, when your always workin your a** off. To give you prove of what I do I kinda provided a lil pic of me working, after the comments back.

Ash888: Thanks for the comment man, to be honest with you, I didnt even try to draw my dog so good, I guess sometimes it just works, and for the shading, I will try my hardest to stick with one type for shading for each. Next semester, I am studying bone and muscle structure, even though I dont want too, thanks again.

Gnome:Thanks man, I will keep at it and try my hardest, now time for me to venture out and find the magic of line.lol

Archipelego: Thanks man, graffiti huh, hmmmmmm, maybe.

cool caricatures, i tried my hand at it about a year and half ago and i sucked- i think im more ready now though. wat marker you using?

looks to me like you put more effort into your caricature (they seem to be of a much higher standard) some of your other drawings have construction mistakes i dont see in the caricatures. it would be nice to see the nice clean lines you use in the caricatures in your pencil drawings as well.

its time to knuckle down and really lick boot!
LOOK MOMMY! I laid a sketchbook!

Rattsang: The marker I use is called a Sakura Permapaque Marker, its non toxic, but its like a sharpie, when you use it no matter in wat direction, it doesnt leave the undermarks when you lay it down, and its also alot darker in contrast, I love it. And I am really trying to come to a point were my sketches are as clean as my caricatures, it seems when it comes to sketching and drawing things I always get a lil messy, thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it. I will start incorporating a way to make my lines much like the ones I use in my caricatures.

New Upload, just gestures really, nothing great. Thanks for dropping by, a comment would really be appreciated. The last one is fast.

    Hey mate! =)
    Sweet caricatures! I love 'em!
There's a lot of force behind your style, and since it's very dynamic and flowing, it definately pleases my eye =)
    Keep up the great work!

Hello guys, Iam back again, the first post is gonna be a sketch of an Impressionist piece, the orginal painter, Manet, really inspired me, its amazing to see those types of paintings in real life, the next are just gonna be simple little water color things I did nothing special.

    hey there, cool stuff here!
about the digi: before painting you should clean up your linework and then paint on a second layer (did ya already?)
and don`t be afraid of using hard brushes and high opacity!!!
first you block in the colors the you blend then you go in detail…got it??
hehe, I`m not a pro…and actually just started digis myself=)
to get into it you should start with some still-life stuff(boooring, i know)
go to bumskees tutorial!!! it`s great!!
    keep it coming
    cheers
