Strong rhythm in your line work. Good use of varied line weight. I'd suggest working on your structure by breaking down shapes into simpler geometrical shapes.

Also, be careful of getting lost in details/crosshatching. It can break up your piece and make your composition noisy. Details/crosshatching should always build towards the whole. Stand back from your piece to see if it still reads.

Good start, man. I'm sure that caricature gig is good drawing bootcamp. Keep up the good work.

Hello again, this is my first completed black and white digital painting, I call it Billy The Giant Sky God, I really put a lot of effort into because I only had 10 to do it, basically the premise for the whole piece is that hes a giant sky god, very human like but his appendages are very cloud like. He can morph his hands and arms into whatever consort he can flathom, feel free to critique to the best of your ablities, if you have any questions do be afraid to ask. Thanks. I will upload more tommorrow.

Hey! I did enjoy the "ugly" painting of the dude with the straw in his mouth. There looks like there is a lot of confidence and aggressiveness there but it still looks controlled.

And that self portrait is killing it! Great work.

I like how much color you work into your skin tones. All those blues, greens and purples add up to a more real looking skin.

My only critique is for your sketches. There is a sort of scratchy quality to you contour lines that actually end up obscuring the shapes. It makes them sort of blurry or fuzzy. If you could make the same shape with fewer more fluid lines, I think your shapes will really start to pop.

    Keep it up!

A gesture drawing in oil paint, that we did in class, I hate it, but you know it was a great learning experience. And a couple of contour drawings BLAH !!!

Lowercase: Iam almost done bro, just a couple of more things to do. Thanks for the comment.

Super Skoda: Thanks bro, Iam gonna apply more effort into my sketches, but it will get uglier, when its time to move on to figure. Thanks for the comment man.

Ashie: Thanks alot, I really appreciate the comment, but you will have to paint at Ringling to get ready for it.

Ok, guys Iam gonna post a couple of life paintings, the first one was a unique experience, I did the painting portion of the clothing with a knife, and the face with a brush, the unique thing about it is when you look at it, the clothing portion of the painting looks so crisp, but the face looks out of focus, I took the picture over and over again because I thought it was the camera doing it, but I was wrong. I kinda like it to be honest with you. 2 days, a total of 4 hours.

The next painting, is a painting that Iam really proud of because I think iam starting to really understand form really well, and how paint interacts with planes of the face, and I know you can see the underpainting but I really wanted people to understand the way planes and how low chroma colors can really make a painting insteresting, it also teaches you how to sculp a painting. 3 days, a total of 6 hours.

Please feel free to critique, next monday, I will post some drawings I have done.

Hey man, really like your last painting, it really shows your technique come through. Although your application is really nice, try to pay more attention to the underlying drawing (assuming you did one ) the proportions are off.

I added a bit of PS magic to help illustrate

    keep up the good work!

    hey man!
    good stuff in here.
my only advice- don't try to use thousands of color hues in your oil paintings, believe me- that's too easy to lost control above them and forget about values and construction.
use few but make light and show skeleton of subject, you do. that will help you to learn a lot.

    cheers man!
