    Hi! Great improvement in here!
Looks like you really dig markos work!
The only advise I can give you is to spend more time looking at anatomic errors in you drawings. On thing I see happen is that you make the thorso and midsection of the body to big. Cheers man! I enjoyed your SB and Ill be back for more.

    very nice work man!

    i really like the paintings

the characters design have a nice rendering style, but yes, you should try different designs too...find inspration in anythng, and transform it into smething else
practice drawing hands too, i see you do't usually liek drawing them (hand and feet are bloody hard, but they are needed i a finished character )

    nice work, shw us more!

    ciao!

yo dadu, thx for stoppin by the book. i like the stuff you have in here, especially your rendering style. anatomy is still taking shape, that's ok. just keep pushing it every chance you get. one thing i would think would help is doing some gesture drawing, or "snipe sketching" as some people like to call it. take a tiny sketchbook, go to the train, and just draw whoever you find interesting, either their clothes, pose, whatever; get practice drawing real people and seeing how real bodies behave. how the body balances itself, how weight effects certain body parts, what emotions people convey through their pose and body language, etc. these will help you bulid up a mental library that you can use when drawing from your head. just needs repetition, so just crack at it. biggest problem at the moment (at least with posing), is legs. almost all of them are straight up and down, with no bend. i would recommend, if you get a chance, pick up a bridgman book or two; they have been the best source of anatomical information for me. good luck man, i wanna see madd progress from you! keep pushin!

I started on the first page...and I must say WOW good progress though the 4 pages....I wish I could say the same for my SB.

I thought the last 2 guys in this post were super cool:
    http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...8&postcount=70

Some anatomy things like shoulders, and a long upper arm, but I know anatomy has alredy been mentioned, or is already on the list so I won't shout it at you! I barely make time for it myself. See ya!

Hey dadushin Thanks for your nice comments in my SB. The paintings are well executed. The shadows, in fact, have alot of movement and a sense of air. Am curious as to your idea behind the self portraits. What motivates the deformities?

gkrit- hey thanks for the comments man, you are well on your way too

Blue Severin- thanks for the crits, definitely see what you mean. I did have trouble with the deformations and i think it shows, gotta keep workin at it.

    RABIDTOOTH- thanks yo

Draniel- it was for a school project, more of a spontaneous thing, i think it went quicker because i pretty focused most of the time as well as it was the third one, kinda got more feel for how things work after doing the first two

Leadster618- thanks a lot man! the paintings are part a series for one of my classes, and good idea about the landscape, definitely gotta try that shit out once i get a tablet, if i ever do wah wah haha

Timmy the Turtle- hey thanks man, still working on that aha! i also think it has to do with the designs as well

    Peetaer- thanks yo

B-Man- thanks for the pointers, i know what you mean i do have a things for making things to big and too small, especially heads, gotta work on that

TheGnoll- yup yup! you definitely hit hard on what some of my main problems are, i am currently trying to work on it haha...one thing also about the inspiration, i'm really trying to make art my life, well it kinda is being here at school, but i mean in a more mental way. make it a lifestyle...you are totally right about finding inspiration from everything...wherever i go i try to just "see" everything i can...i'm still not trying to force it though...haha long response...but yea still building my library and definitely know what you mean.

purb36- thats a good idea man, i have not been able to draw from life really at all for like lately, really dying to do some figure drawing and stuff. also gotta learn how to apply those to my imaginative stuff

Jakers- haha yea man anatomy is still a top priority thanks for the comments

    agelaos- will do man, thanks

AztcFireFlower- thanks for dropping by..the paintings were more a spontaneous idea than a real deep meaning. But they do have some personal things behind them which i will share maybe one day

    again
thanks for all the comments and help guys wouldn't be where i am without the

I like your pencils a lot. Great paints too. Growths. Good stuff. Externalising the internal. You do it well.

Flattered you left me a comment. Thanks.

I'll look forward to seeing more.

I really, really dig your style, man. Very 'relaxed', so to speak, and confident. Just keep up at it!

In light of those wonderful paintings, I would love to see you do a pencil-portrait - doesn't matter if it is from a reference-photo or live model.

Oh, and I only recently started to frequent ConceptArt ( I even have a sketchbook here which I rather seldomly update, thanks to having no scanner at my current location.. I have only done digital sketches for it so far ), and I, too, haven't been very serious about drawing before. It is all changing, though, since I am loving the whole 'learning aspect' of art these days. I want to learn and improve, darn it! :p

Anyway, keep up the good work. I'll definetely come back to check this SB frequently. You have a new fan.

Thank you dadushin, though I knew you've got loads of thanks here lol.
Having been saying my painting, you're definitely right on the advice you gave me!! I always find it is awkward defining the edges in my painting.
Your work is imaginative! I am damn that I haven't visited your SB until you posting in mine, shame on me~~
I'll do as you suggested, let's see how the work I'll come up with tomorrow...

    Cheers!
