Well the first day of Midterms is over and i had some time to draw

The first is just a Ms Marvel ink.... am on a inking spree these days....

Anyway all the others i did with ref... but the thing i liked about them is the amount of time i took to make them all, each about 2 mins each, they have the time written next to each of them.

Lacadam thanks for posting in my SB. I like your figure drawing alot, post 31 and 26 particularly. I'm not sure exactly what to say because as you know I am still very much the beginner. Are you drawing your superheroes just from your imagination or are you sketching superhero comic pics from books? Whichever is the case I really like them. Are you doing anatomy studies? (i like your studies of hands by the way) ... of the whole body, face, chest, shoulders etc. etc. skeleton as well as muscle groups? I'd love to see them. Keep it up i'll be back to check on your stuff again

Hello .. you have improved a lot since you started here. I cant realy crit anything since i just started myself, but one thing i learned is to build the characters from stickfigures. It helps a lot on proportions and its easy to make stickfigures do whatever you want them to do. Its also a lot of fun.
I dont think the "beginers" mind is able to hold on to a complete human figure in a particular pose for more than a few seconds. So its essential to get it down on paper as quick as possible. My two cents
I love post 31 and the dragons

I'm going to agree with Chalid and second the technique of building up your characters from a skeleton. Knowing how the bones fit together and form the frame of the figure helps me a great amount when it comes to creating realistic poses. Your book has progressed amazingly, and it's just the beginning!

When it comes to books, anything by Burne Hogarth, if you can find them, has awesome anatomical studies and dynamic poses/foreshortening/musclulature. (A plus since you seem to like comicbook art )

Thanks again for the comment in my book!

publicBob: Hehe well i still cant draw that well from imagination, (meaning that i did use refs) but i am trying to work on it. I i think soon i am going to post some more anatomy studies

Chalid: Thanks, i am going to try to do more stuff from the mind than i normally do.

IssyLMG: thanks for the positive comment and for xmas i am getting some figure drawing books, not by Burne Hogarth but now i will look out more for them.

am sorry i dont have anything to post because i dont have a scanner for the xmas vacation but all i can say is that i am drawing a lot and when i come back from the holidays there is going to be a big post

Man, I can see you're working real hard on figures. Way to go. I'm a really bad artist but I think you may need to work on your knee and elbow positions.

whoa....you are a sketching machine! lol your work is looking very nice and the sketchbook is quickly filling up. I need to get my ass into gear and start working as hard as you do Very nice style though, it has a very comic book feel to it....well that, and the superhero sketches help lol Look forward to seeing more though, as I'm sure next time I'm here there will be about 5 more posts lol

    Wow thanks for the comments

Vritra: I do need to work on legs in general, i dont know why i find them harder to do.

xabian: ya, i should do more stuff from imagination is that the stuff that i do from imagination is normally not that good, although it is getting better and better, which is a good sign and yes i should do more colored stuff, in fact am getting photoshop soon

dan.man.86: thanks for the positivness in your comment and i dont think the next time you will come to see the sketchbook you will see 5 more posts, this is because were i am now from the x-mas vacation i dont have a scanner but i will manage to grab hold of a scanner the 6 or 7 of January

so everyone (like as if there is a lot of people that follow my sketchbook) remember that there will be a big post on the 6 or 7 of january and then my posts will be back to their normal one post every 1 or 2 days

You ARE subscribed to my sketchbook! =) Seriously, thanks for all the comments and encouragement there. I'll give you the same advice that you gave me--- anatomy ftw! Or however they put it. Basically means keep those anatomy and pose studies coming.

Well already the anatomy studies and life drawings are starting to pay off so don't slow this pace, and you'll keep this rapid improvement. Cya around.

hey man,i admire your perseverance.but i think your studies doesn't have enough quality because you don't draw your subject accurately.and when you are studying anatomy, try to learn that and not only copying the illustrations.
    these are only my suggestions.
    keep it up.

    Need your critique
