Got a little done today worked on color mostly and did some sketches from imagination, ill save the sketches for a little later cause i wana finish them up a little bit.
the first is from a thread here on ca i had it under a rainy day color tutorial folder so i have nop clue which i got it from
the last 2 look really bad i painted them at 50% size so i didnt know they were that big.
Asatirathanks for the link i read it over and learned a little bit and im still workin on the eye thing so dont give up on me

Yeah, that's definitely better than the last portrait, especially in the eyes. Still needs work, but much better. I think you've got to work on overall brushstrokes, but getting better.
Good job for attempting an upward angle. Only thing is the jaw doesn't quite seem to match the angle, and the eyes don't either.
That's a solid amount of work brother.
On your digital paintings, you're doing a bit of over-modelling. try more subtle blends, so there is less of a 3D plastic look.
Great improvement, seriously.
Asatirayah im getting a little bit better about this self portrait thing seems like im able to understand the face and the head as a hole but still got a long way to go.
res01ve practice makes perfect, and iv heard the plastic thing befor so since im getting multipal coments on it i guess i should look into it..well looks like i know what to work on tomorrow
well i think i slept for over 17hours today so im really drowsey and i think it threw off my proportions
Tonights SP went over a lot of head tutorials today in my SB ill post the pages over the weekend since those take a little longer to upload
i think the line work on this one was spot on but my painting digitally still lacks so i took the piece downa notch ill post line work over weekend
Sp No. 9 i think i lost one somewhere o well
this one was kind of inspired by how Mr. Dilicious does
his b/w drawings they were really insperational today while i was board at school
still need to work on these types their totally cool
The last two are much better. The first is much smoother than earlier ones, and the B&W one just works, I think because the tones are limited and you have to be more clear. Also, can't have waste with too small brushstrokes.
Heres some AP studio work im counting it as my portrait last night its not me its my beautiful GF
and dont worry ill have an update with a few sketches and another portrait later tonight.
its not my best but im practicing so it ill get better
lol thanks Asatira but i know theirs a lot of little mistakes just need to have something to hand in tomorrow
iv got a lot of finished stuff for my SB but tonight you only get a SP
and a random character sketche based on Cole eastburns stuff that guys great
painters been kicking my butt lately so i havent posted 2 thats why theirs
two days unaccounted for...sorrowie but this is about as far as im going to
get in the time frame with the evil painter software
damn you're painting!
that's a hell of a lot more than what i'm doing right now.
how about a traditional self portrait with a focus on the structure of the face?
i like second, fifth, and sixth ones the most.
KEEP IT UP AS;DLJFLK
Uggggghhh i sware painter hates me that and my wacom monitor needs to be color calibrated too...arrrg but A LA im doing tons of traditional stuff at school for ap studio so i feel like im getting both sides pretty equal but im also going to do some in traditional so dont worry its all good
heres 2 steps back
ugggg i still dont like painter x and this really isnt something im proud off but here it is SP for the night eugggh
well my books are on the way and i got my hogarth figure book so lots of figure work will be coming
Hogarth hes a good guy
and hers some not so good studies
well their not that bad i guess
and heres a smilie
and sP will come shortly
-----Forgot also a sketch for Res01ve for our SSg challange
not sure if i like this one or not, not really any story or intresting
desigin element to it

Hey Demo, keep working on your selfportraits, andthose anatomy studies.
Your faces seem like you spent more time on the construction lines than the actual portrait, try a few sessions with minimal construction, and instead just paint exactly what you see as you see it. 100% opacity and flow, blend all on one layer. Might help you out.
Hay Smoke im guessing were SSG now
thanks for the crit, the line thing is definatly true
iv done so many bad paintings with crappie line work
befor hand that i think it defintaly held me back so i want to try
to get every thing as good as possible befor puttin any thing fat on
but this one is a little like what you outlined except for the construction thing
ill try tomorrow
Smoke lol sorry i dont mean ill put off working on what you told me tomorrw
i just mean i already did a selfportrait and its bed time i usually update at night....zzzz but i do need a little motivation sometimes i gettin lazy hopefully youll kick my ass again tomorrow if im not doing anything but i tryed what you said about no construction and 100% opat iv tryed the opacity thing on most of the sp but at the end sometimes it jets blended out
well i like it a little, and i like this smilie even more
o im wearing glasses btw this is the only one so far so that i am i didnt wana confuse the regulars all ....one of you
hey man, i like what you're doing here. cheers for painting so much. to help with form and structure and all, i would suggest painting simple shapes, working your way from cubes (or blocks) up to more complex shapes (spheres) and then on to much more complex, irregular shapes. lots of studies, and i would recommend starting in grayscale. this is all one thing that has reeeeeally helped me. g'luck dude, and keep working hard!!!
Hey, guess were on one group now. Wow you are really constant on your SP's, I wish I had that patience to my personal projects. I like #156, #161 the most.
Keep up. Ill be back soon to check ur SB.
pssst, could be i didnt understood our chalange options. MY STINKING ENGLISH SKILLS. we have to draw everyone of our SSG group as some imaginary team members? or so? hm..
Purb yep yep thank u, i plan on keeping things pretty simple for a while gray scale, shapes, simple co,lor scheams that kind of thing hopefully it will pay of i think it has a little
Pijus im trying to keep my studies up a lot more if you wana begreat and get somewhere its time to do it right im not really that paitent sometimes i dont think i would ever have the paitiance to do a fully renderd picec the way i want, but maybe its cause i do all kinds of art things all day now and am getting a little burnt out.
i think we can clear up the SSG challang on facebook easier then on pms ill try to tlk about it tomorrow.
Heres some random crap from tonight tryed doing the cloud tut from ImaginFX a random rocket launcher piece, SP and some hogarth.
