Heres an update to anyone out their whos actully paying attention not that u need to its more about the pretty pictures
well heres the "completed" part of my legendes and myth project
nose and eye studies ar on their way once i get my scanner working.....cough ....lazy..cough cough
i was playing around with the new cintiq 12wx lastnight befor i went to bed and this is pretty much all i did befor i fell asleep i know its not that good but it was fun to play with the airbrushes
welcome to our small but nice sketchbooksupportgroup! keep updating and practising continously and become great!
i *really* like the painting of the old theatre, the colours are rich and beautiful!
for your other studies it's great to see that you started to look at the underlying structures more! keep that up! those noses look really good!
for my taste your digi paintings rely to much on fancy effects, how about trying to paint with a good ole' round pressure sensitive brush only for one piece. just to try out if you can pull of a good picture without using fx.
show us more!

Hello fellow SSG member. Keep doing those studies and you will improve quickly. It seems you have trouble with structure, so just keep at the studies and do lots more.
This is a bit late, but welcome to SSG 50!
You have very strong shading, and I see you are improving, very nice. I agree with Katinki, don't rely on special effect stuff, I didn't quite understand the purpose of it in your post 20, I thought the portrait by itself without the special effect was nice. I liked post 19 better.
SSG 50: hay their to every one
updates the only thing id have to add besides that is
to Far Cry lol sorry but 19 is the ref pic and i get what u mean about the triangles and stuff but their just so fun to play around with its like a guilty pleasure i try to stay away but they just keep comming, and idk i dont consider it to be a cop out its just a screen layer its not like im using Lens Flare but i under stand
IDW and some Ears
You've got some great studies on this page. Ears, ears are tricky. Your IDW concept is off to a cool start; I like how you're breaking it down as well as looking at the whole. Just got a question: what's the grate thing for?
Oh the great thing was one of the 4 different revolver position that one was for either cutting the astroid up into smaller pieces to be examined, or mabey to hold 3-4 different teams to inspect the astroid for drilling conditions
ill post some modles in a minute
Hears a digital painting wip im recording it so i can put in into youtube because thes kid drawing anima challenged me to do better
your flesh colours look really nice!
do you work froma photo or from imagination? if you have ref - could you post it next to it? and watch out for the neck's muscle structure - it's off. the eyes aren't symmetrical: the right eye is too far up and too near to the nose.
i look forward to see it finished!
yah its from a ref ill post it its of my Gf in her prom dress
thanks Katanki itill help alot i think the eye thing is just because
i dont really work on the same part too long i kind of jump around through out the whole thing so sometimes i throw a part off a little.
Sorry i dont have any thing for tonight working on APstudio stuff
It's great to see how well your improving since your first post. Your shading is good and you have an good instinct for color. keep working on those studies, you have great potential.
Yeah, can't really critique it. The patterns throw me off. Were you playing with gesture a bit? If so, that I get.
Ok i got an update im sorry all SSG iv been kind of lazy and havent ben posting everynight that and iv been really busey finishing a lot of AP studio art stuff so i got a lot to add ill have to find a camera card befor i can add some of the bigger stuff i tried scanning a pencile drawing but i had to stitch it together in PS
Big picture! Lots of work and detail into the grasshoppers. I like the reflection in the eye. In the future, if you have to stitch multiple scans together, take some time to adjust the levels or brightness or whatever. One way that I've found is to adjust the transparency of a layer a little so you get things lined up, then return to normal and make the other adjustments. How big was this?
Very good hands. I like the cross-hatching. The eyes are good overall, good construction. But that last set comes off stylized and close together. (of course, if stylized is the goal, forget what I say.)
I think it's an even mix of good and could be better. I think the weakest are the top right and second left in the first set. The fingers seem disjointed, like they aren't connected at the knuckles. If you can, come back to that one again and see if you get any improvement.
hey! great to see you working!
your hatching looks really good! but on the last hand sheets i get the impression that it covers anatomical and structural problems. i would recommend to do some hands without excessive hatching, concentrating on form and structure.
keep it up!
Hi. Your studies are getting better. Don't worry, sometimes things just go wrong like with that hand but that can be helpful too. Your industrial design is looking really good and all of the "single parts" (ears, noses etc) are great.
Seems to be getting iffy if you put the pieces together though.
But maybe more gesture drawing of whole figures will help to understand how these parts relate to each other.
Hope that makes sense. (Great pencils btw.)
Hi there i havent posted in a while so i need to get back on the ball
heres a mural iv started on this one is basically done and i know its terriable but its really what they wanted and they said keep it simple so owell maybe illl be able to fix it 1 out of 5 done
