Oh man I hate using charcoal. I love the high contrast and dark, dark...but the mess it makes.

I'm not sure what's going on here in this one drawing. Is that hair on top of cloth or hay?

Keep focusing on your art and hopefully the bad crowd at your school won't bother you. Be sure to carry a can of pepper spray if they do : ) It's good your professors make it worth while.

Hi, Demo! Wow, you have some really good portraits going! Also, still-lifes of the sneakers are fantastic--they look like they're coming off the page! I like that!

Very nice pencil work, I must say.

I like how your strokes in your pencil work have a lot of energy. It reminds me of one of my favorite music videos. Hope it gives you inspiration:

My only other suggestion on your portraits is that some of your eyes a bit stylized. They seem to be missing the upper an lower lid?

I never painted with too much oils. I used water water soluble ones before, they are nice. Easier for clean up and less chemicals. One techique that was taught to me was painting a thin coat of burn sierra or burnt umber on the canvas and then wipe away the high lights with cloth. So you end up using less paint. I assume it be done with normal oils or any other color.

The car perspective is looking to me. I think the TAD is nice but also some mix reviews.

Hey Demo! Thanks for posting a comment on my sb.

Sweet sketches. I particularly like the architecture/perspective stuff. Your Sketch up work looks nice, too. I need to learn that myself. The still life master study is lookin' sweet. Good luck on that.

    See ya around!

Your master painting is close, I think in the original they used slightly warmer colors on the cloth.

You've got some good effort going into these studies. Remember to stick with the basics and keep how you think of everything really simple. In your speedpaints of environments I'd really recommend you slow down and really spend a few hours and try to understand whats going on with the light in the pictures. When you first learned how to shade basic spheres im sure you didn't do a whole bunch of really sloppy ones, you have to take the time to understand it first, and then you grind on it. Keep working at it, it'll get easier.

Kvick Thanks for the sound advice. yeah i probably need to spend more time on the enviroments then again the ones l posted I spent a few hours but i went through the process of going back and forth between the painting the colors and the drawing for a couple of hours couldnt really get any thing right. But that just means more practice on all fronts.

PigeonkillYeah I just started so its like 90% not done but ill keep that in mind Piegeon

ModestMouse Thanks Modest I really hate painter right now but its nice to know we find some-sort of peace treaty

DizonThanks Dizon sketchup with a rendering program is really fun to work with as Ferris beuller would say " It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

Blizzard Thanks!! I hope to make more

Lets see Sketch book pages I have a pretty big book here that im going to dedicate to starting some conceptual characters and more studies on bigger paper.

Heya Demo!! I love how you use so many mediums, and you use them all really well! You have so much going on I don't know what to comment on first! lol It's all great. I really like your oil paintings and renderings.
On the poll I voted anatomy/bone studies because I think that that's what you can benefit from most. I'll stop on by later

I like that you're using a lot of mediums. I would personally work on your line use. Your figures tend to be a little flat.
