I snuck into Borders like a ninja and stealthily ripped off the shrink wrap so I could look at my pictures Highly recommended - not for my stuff, but for all the other excellent work.

    I didn't buy it because I'm poor

Good thing, you should be getting your complimentary contributor's copy any day now.
Mine came this morning. Best Spectrum ever.

Like Elwell said, all Artists who are included in the book get a free copy...
    sometimes hardcover.

Seeing as the hardcover is $40, and entering only costs $20,
I think the editors are pretty darn generous.

    And yes, I agree...
    best ever.

I think the soft cover - still a nice, big book - was around $19-$24. It's a really good deal.

I won't be surprised if I don't get my copy: we've moved 3 times since I entered and our mail is all kinds of messed up. But I have hope...

Either PM your current address or email me through the Spectrum website [ spectrumfantasticart.com ] and we'll see you get your copy. 3/4 of the artist copies have been mailed already (yours is in the batch): the P.O. doesn't forward Media [Book] Rate, so let us know where and we'll take care of you.

Picked mine up yesterday. Best ever does indeed sum it up.
I'm just wondering what they could do for 15?

That depends on all of us.

I totally agree, this edition is just so top notch. Arnie, Cathy, and the hard working crew at the Spectrum headquarters continually bring the best art book to market and show how much they truly care not just about the art and the artists but the consumers as well.

Thanks again you guys, your dedication is inspiring.

No kidding, there are so many great pieces this time around. Lots of Last Man Standing entries too, warms my heart. Picking up 14 made me also realize that my Spectrums 1-13 are causing a nice little bow in my bookshelf... thank you Mr. Fenner for destroying my bookcase!

Seriously, the release of Spectrum every year has become an event for me. Thanks for putting together such a great book year after year.

mine just left it sitting out on my front stoop! Luckily it didn't grow legs and walk off before I found it there. And that is why I don't trust the postal service in South Philly

Thanks to everyone for all the kinds words! I wish Cathy and I could take credit for it, but it's all the participating artists and the jury that are responsible: we're just directing traffic.

My local Borders "says" (via online inventory check) that it has at least ONE copy - but it just ain't there when I check for it.

Gonna have to go to Bud Plant (online) as usual....which isn't a bad thing, as long as I buy JUST THIS ONE book. I seem to buy more ...everytime I shop there.

Make sure you check the science-fiction/fantasy section.
Sometimes they place these books with the graphic novels instead of the art section like they should.

The copy I found was in the science-fiction/fantasy like DS just said, but not in with the graphic novels. I probably only found it because I knew where spectrum 13 was...

Graphic novels section! I'll check there tomorrow...er, today....later today.

Never thought about that! In the sci fi/fantasy section there is a group of previous Spectrum books - sadly, no 14. But will check out this other section!

And if it ain't there - to Bud Plant I go.

    (and thank you!)
