Question about Open Canvas 1.1:
Is there a way to flatten an image that has an additive layer and a normal (multiply) layer other than saving the image and reopening it?
I like to test out highlights on a separate layer before committing them and it would be very handy if I could flatten the image after that.
Wow.. This thread is amazing. I am learning so much, so inspiring. I just started messing with OC yesterday and I am loving it. It'd be cool for a wacom novice like me to be able to paint with one of you awesome artists and get tips as I go along, and for you to be able to fix things and draw over mine. This is a lot of fun keep posting everyone.
Oh, im not proffesional enough!!! lol dako, im jk. Yah I just started messin with oc a couple of days ago 2 everyone, its quite fun! Hard to get used to after you sketch and paint with PS for a week...
For those asking about the problems with OC, the "Bad command or data" error is caused by using an illegal serial number on the trial version to unlock it. It was only added recently, so some people have gotten around it, but people downloading it recently will have this problem. Also, reinstalling it won't get round the problem either.
The problem with opening files and editing them might be to do with the type of file you save it as. If it's JPG you wont be able to export event files (this is for all versions of OC) after you re-open it
Anyway, hope that helped a few people out, sorry I dont have any pics to post
Wow, so fun to see the progress. A lot of nice sketching I really enjoyed seeing. I remember being a bit active on these java applets of live sketching and chatting...that was a lot of fun too and the software was getting better and better (pretty much like open canvas)...too bad I don't see much of that lately (or maybe it's just me not paying attention to what's going on these days)
Call me stupid, but how do you meet up with others to draw in this program ? I can't understand anything, all text are japanese.
