Luv it! The mosaic totally makes it 8)

And heck yeah, if you could hook me up with some mentorly assignments, that'd be fantastic! I have to draw now, anyway -- your SB always inspires me!

    Cheers

    Look, see! Nifty art! http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=99803

Soooooo tardy with the updates! I have a GOOD reason though. Kind of?

Been working lots on my LMS, but of course, I can't show yet. Soooooon. Have this week's CHOW - The Herald of the Queen, and also one of the figure studies I'm supposed to be working on for my mentor. One down, 9 to go.

    More soon!
And THANK YOU for the comments!

EDIT... Not sure about the BG on the Herald... this is him without the mess:

    Nice ChoW!

I like the background, but then, I'm a sucker for fiddly patterns. The only crit I have is that the ground he/she's standing on looks unfinished. Otherwise, awesome!

see I was gonna comment the great way you use linework and the beautifull rendering, but, damn that butt made me forget all I wanted to say....

keep it coming (not the butt exclusively) whatever that may be!!!!!

oh, and I think that your take on the CHOW #99 was one of 2 or 3 that captured the description, the thread is full of bigass swords and dudes with helmets and shileds, kinda off I think....

    deeefinately 5 stars!!!!

    Highly stylized goodness!

I should be drawing instead of looking at YOUR work.

Background design works. Purple/blue contrasts well with all the yellow, and also helps balance out the saturated purple in banner. Since its grayish and rigidly patterned it also makes the arch shape seem more architectural, rather than just a random graphic shape, which goes well with the theme.

I really like the color variation in the smoky clouds.

sweetheart you have an innate ability to capture the sensual essense that beautiful women emit....and you do it with such passion. I would be lying if I said I didn't envy your work but I choose to channel inspiration instead. Keep up the great work and good luck!

I've watched your gallery on dA for a little while, but this is my first time checking out this thread. I'm amazed by all the stuff here, especially the pencil work. I love pencil work, and yours especially. You've got this amazing linework that I must study. Definitely watching this thread.

ok next time i need inspiration, all i have to do is browse your sb no need to look anywhere else hehe astounding work, very iconic, like art you'd see engraved or painted on building walls.

i only have one crit: the head in your Herald piece looks abit too large and it throws off the proportions of the rest of his body. from the way he stands, it suggests that his head would be smaller because of the perspective/distance.

can't wait to see your LMS entry, and best of luck in it too! [subscribed]
