    I made it!

I finally did it guys. Im in, I'm going to Art Center College of Design!

    Woooooooooooohooooooooooo!

I start orientation on September the 3, and I'll let you guys know how it went, after my first day of class.

Much like my good buddy mindcandyman, I too will start a process thread ( I know that some people have done it and jumped on the bandwagon, will I just be doing the same?), but mine will be about my process through Art Center.

Will anyone be interested in seeing something like that, or not?

Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know, and wanted to thank all of you fellas on CA that have helped me out. Boy did I suck at first, and now im no pro, but I've improved and will get there soon enough.

    :nana

    Thanks,

    Oskar

Hey Inkster Congrats man! I have been thinking about the Art Center at night lately, is that what you are doing, night? Are you keeping your current job? How long would your commute be? I live in Lynwood next to the 105 FWY between the 110 and the 710 but I would probably be leaving from work El Segundo 5 min away from the LAX airport

I am taking a few classes at Gnomon (with Feng and KChen soon) and El Camino City College right now and of course visiting CA almost daily (a must). The only thing that is stopping me right now is that fact that I would have to drive for a littel over an hour & 1/2 i am guessing with traffic and all. I just requested some info from them about the night classes so I will see what happens> I am thinking that I have to pay them a visit pretty soon. It's now or never. Defiantly keep up posted on how it is over there. Looking forward to your future work killer!

Hey Otis if I attend I will keep that in mind myself.

Congrats! School was one of the best times of my life. I would love to do it all over again and not have to deal with the real world every day.

    Good luck and have fun!

Cool. You're already making good looking art, so I'll be interested to see how you improve in art school.

learn as much as you can, be humble and teachable and like a sponge for everything. Make some good friends that are determined to progress in art. Good luck to you.

oh yeah don't forget your lunch money, and mind your manners.

    Thanks so much guys!

I am pretty jazzed about it myself too, and I "WILL" be making that process thread in the daily sketch book section. I'll put all types of things in there, notes, experiences, sketches, finished pieces, art-thinga-ma-bobs, and just about anything related with my adventures at Art Center.

negativespace: I have checked out otis, but didn't like it compared to Art Center, not as good

AmadorL: Night classes are sweet, or so I've heard. I am going for the full program. Dude, you have to pay them a visit. You have to check out their gallery, it is so proffesional and inspiring, they just added a new section to it...CLASSY...

Look out for my thread guys

Negativespace- I work know about Otis the art suppy store i go to is next to it I just don't get the feeling I would be getting the same out of it as I would from the art center. I will just have to pay them a visit too.

Hey just to let you guys know about the thread. It's going to be a Academy/Art Center thread that Daarken and I will have. That way we can get other people from both schools to post there stuff.

    It's going to be great!
