    6 months in a scroll...

Hello to everyone, I'm new around this quite incredible forum and I would like to present you my work from the last 6 months or so...

First is a serie of bad ass girls...
I was trying to develop a trashy, but clean look...

    the BAD and the UGLY...

    CLARA's pain...

Here was a try at something without any line, kind of a speed paint, 4-5 loose hours...

    ARKANSAS hordes...

And this video concludes the whole concept...
I wanted to learn Adobe After Effect. It have been a very 'artsy' and probably dumb learning at some points, but I'm pretty happy with the results.
All the animation frames were done with Photoshop and Image Ready using my previous illustrations.
And the song is a personal remix of '10 Miles High' from 'Nine Inch Nails' using Adobe Audition.

I havn't been able to find a better hosting site, so it is a bit compressed...
if anybody has a solution I'd be really gratefull ^__^

    PINEBLUFF memorim...

Here and following are my 'débuts' with custom textured brushes...

For this one, I wanted a rough render to keep some vibration, maybe it is a little to rough, but I was happy with it since it was the first time I tried to work almost everything on the same canvas...

    the BLACK twins...

This one is a bit cleaner, but still have the loose brush strokes feeling.
I think I'll be trying this out much more in my work...

    the LAST stand...

And finally, one that confirmed I have not much patience...
A much cleaner look, but I think I like a more intuitive way...
The fishes almost took off with my sanity O_O

    MORTARSHELL...

Hope you liked some of it,
looking foreward to get a lot of advices,

you can visit my blog at http://boutain.blogspot.com/

I am still working on an affichage bug occuring with almost all navigators other than Explorer...
my apologies to the apple peoples V_V

Wow man I love your style. Your still images are awesome and have guts. Your anim though is another story. Although you clearly display an understanding of economic animation mechanics, what you have is well... not much of anything. I got everything and more from the stills.

The anim is long, and kind of pointless. Even though what you did animate is clean and fluid, its a step backwards.

    These are great...
    all of them!

    The video is so short,
but I'm really diggin' what you've got going on there.
I would love to see you add to it.

    Welcome aboard!

I get a very Lars Fiske-y feel from these (although you probably don't even know who that is) only more painterly. Very cool.

I don't think the animation part was ment to be the most fluid piece of art ever seen in the world. I see it more like a mood creation. And in that optic, I think it is a sucess. Great style, Give us more!

    thanks everyone,
glad you mostly liked my stuff

and here some specifications on the video

the song is a personal remix of '10 Miles High' from 'Nine Inch Nails' using Adobe Audition, I forgot to mention it...

and as for it's content, it was meant first of all to learn After Effect with only optic to bring both illustrations to life as a whole. I understand it does not bring anything further to the subject but that wasn't really the point...

nevertheless I can understand some may find it pointless since, except from learning something while doing art, it is ^__^

Very cool stuff. Has the feel of a Ted McKeever piece and the Tank Girl comics.

Great stuff! I really like your style. 'The Last Stand' is my favourite here - it's a nice combination of all the interesting stuff you've got happening in the other images.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
