Like the detail on the second one. Very nice creatures. I am newbie in the Zbrush and Mudbox thing, so I don't think I can really comment on it that much.
The only thing that bothers me design wise are the legs from the second figure. From a design standpoint, a lot of the weight of the creature is going forward and because of that it will need something like feet or claws to balance that. Then again, that's my opinion.

    Keep it up with these.

no i am not, but its a cartoon, so i am not sure of your point. i know how to draw a person realistically, but i just started trying some cartoon concepts, so i guess i am just trying different things out

Hey man, the skull turnout pretty well. That texture is top notch and suits it nicely, like the small details in it. Did you make from scratch? Just wondering.

With the skull itself, if you are aiming for a more realistic look you could workout the interior of the cavities in the skull. If you see this pic , you will see what I mean.

    Keep it up!

    current wip

    hey guys and gals

this is a creature i am currently working on. i wanted to created something that walks on its knuckles, and has sort of a long body. i looked at pictures of sloths when i was designing this with z-spheres. very early details on some of the feet and the head.

any ideas where to go with this? and crits on the body form?
    more pics to come

    big update

wow. so i kind of forgot about this thread i had going. heres a large update of stuff i have been doing recently....

the first two are a project i just started for my character class. base mesh in maya and starting on the anatomy now.

the second two are the character i was originally doing, then i got bored with it.... haha

the blue alien fella is a character i did for a quick zbrush central challenge

the three images of the silver alien head is a quick project i started, which i am now basing my project for character class off of. i originally just has a head and torso, but i liked it so much i need a body, so i started it over (two first images)

and the last two is a quick hand study i was doing. sculpted from a base mesh imported from maya.

well there you go, and post will be back now for a while, as long as helpful comments keep coming! thanks guy and gals

I think that in your last few post you are showing some improvement specifically in the texture quality of the 6 legged creature. I still see allot of proportion and design flaws in these models. I think that you would improve in leaps and bounds if you first built up a nice library of reference from all aspects of anatomy both human and animal. secondly before you devote your self to a model think about if that creature or character were alive how would it move, how would it eat, whats is habitat like? If you try and answer a few of these questions you will begin to create a kind of history and back story which will help you in your design choices.
